5.0 out of 5 stars Great music
This is really great music from the 80s. It doesn't sound anything like the singles of course though because it's live and many years later I think. I think Mickey gets a little out of tune everynow and then on this but thats ok because he rocks and to be able to sing those notes in the first place is awsome. If you like Starship, you have to get this.

1.0 out of 5 stars paTHETIC!
I would say it sounds like a garage band, but I can't think of a garage that deserves the abuse! First, the audio sounded VERY tinny. Mickey talked (and often too much!) about what a nice venue it was. Obviously, he did not listen to himself sing.

I am still a fan of the old group when all the originals were there. I am getting real sick of these revenue...

I am still a fan of the old group when all the originals were there. I am getting real sick of these revenue generating, no talent telethon type concerts for the broke.

Enough said.

Don't waste your money! The band sounds like a cover band and the vocals are horrible...if you like to collect videos, this one is worth a buck and not worth the shipping expense. Look around at garage sales...

Show was good, but could have been longer. Audio was great 5.1 sound. Grace Slick is missing from the show, however, Mickey does a nice job singing her parts.

3.0 out of 5 stars hoped for better, August 28, 2005
This review is from: Rock 'n' Roll Greats: Starship featuring Mickey Thomas (DVD)
I did not really like this DVD at all. I had to give it a 3 star beacause I was trying to be nice. One of the songs that I've loved stunk big time! The song was "Fooled Around And Fell In Love" I have alot of music DVD's over 150 and this DVD has to be one of the least favorite to date that an "America" I hope to help in peoples decison in saving money in buying bad DVD's.
