THIS IS JUST A GREAT RECORDING NOTHING THAT WILL CHANGE THE WORLD,BUT IF YOU LIKE GOOD OL PUNK ROCK,YHEN THIS IS IT.THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST BAND EVER OUT OF RIVERSIDE CALIFORNIA.IF YOU LIKE SOCIAL DISTORTION AND CADILLAC TRAMPS THEN THIS ONES FOR YOU,AFTER YOU PLAY IT A FEW TIMES IT WILL BE HARD TO GET IT OUT OF YOUR CD PLAYER

I don't actually have any reason to believe that the five huge Chicanos in this band actually do meth, but they rock like they never want to sleep again, and they're from the meth mecca of Riverside, so do the math. This is two parts old-school Cali punk, 1 part roots rock, and while there's nothing innovative, the quality is abnormally high. I was variously reminded of X, Reverend Horton Heat, The Zeros, earlier (i.e., better) stuff by the DKs and Bad Religion, and 60s garage punk. I'm pleasantly surprised that Alternative Tentacles took time out of their schedule of producing boring, self-indulgent spoken word albums and boring, self-indulgent art-punk records to put this out. It's fast and rocking but the high-level musicianship never sounds generic. The lyrics aren't anything profound, but also aren't as brain-bustingly stupid as most stuff from the genre. It's a solid pick.
