5.0 out of 5 stars Downliners Sect - 'The Rock Sect's In' (Repertoire), November 1, 2009
This review is from: Rock Sect's in (Audio CD)
Originally released in 1966 - band's third album, and every bit as good as their first 'The Sect' (see my review). Tunes that make this CD reissue a true keeper are "Fortune Teller", the (how can I say it?) grooving "Hey Hey Hey Hey", "Outside", the familiar sounding "Why Don't You Smile Now?", the Standells-like "I'm Looking For A Woman", "Glendora" (first heard this cut on the 'Nuggets II' 4-CD box set), "I'll Find Out" and the trippy "White Caterpillar". Also, Repertoire tags on seven worthy bonus tracks. Highly recommended.
