I LOVED this movie!,

This review is from: Rock Slyde Private Eye (DVD)
Not since Anchorman have I seen a movie with more quotable lines. Patrick Warburton is perfect as Rock Slyde. The movie is funny, not just with clever dialog but with visual gags as well. It was also fun spotting the cameo appearances of popular celebrities (Eric Roberts was a particular favorite of mine). Watch this movie and you'll laugh out loud...and have a particular song stuck in your head for a long time!

Comic Genius-Patrick Ricketts [...],
This review is from: Rock Slyde Private Eye (DVD)
I was looking forward to seeing this for a number of reasons, first off I am a big fan of Patrick Warburton. For a big man you would think he is going to be some menacing character but his comedic talent is brilliant and he really shines as Rock Slyde. Also Andy Dick is hilarious here as the owner of a quasi-religious cult, he begins a turf war with Rock Slyde that leads to one over-the-top scene after another. The film takes a poke at the film-noir genre making for a refreshing and original romp. This type of slap-stick comedy might not be for everyone but for those that "get it" this is a gem that demands multiple viewings. There are too many memorable scenes and dialogue in the film to even mention but to do so would only ruin the film for those wanting to see it. The is the debut feature film of Writer/Director, Chris Dowling, impressive is putting it mildly here because Chris has create a comedy his first time out that others in his art only dream of making. I had to watch this twice because after it's brisk pacing ended in 86 minutes I was left wanting more and the second time around I caught things I missed the first time around and I had just as much fun watching the film as I did the first time. It takes a complete effort to make a film such as this successful and it seems like everyone was up to the challenge, everything from the sets to the score were perfect. The film also contains some surprising but pleasant cameos a long the way as well. The film belongs to Patrick and Andy but the entire cast delivers on every level. If you like comedy then this is a film that should not be missed. Rock Slyde is off-the-wall fun that breaths new life into a stagnant comedy genre. This is the type of film that gains instant cult status and once you see it you are going to be telling friends and family about it. I highly recommend owning one of the best comedies to come out in a a very long time. Chris Dowling is a Director to keep your eye on and I for one look forward to seeing what he has up is sleeve next. [...]

This review is from: Rock Slyde (Amazon Instant Video)
Rock SlydeAfter watching this film, I am a bit bummed I missed it in the theaters. This movie was hilarious. Patrick Warburton is one of my favorite actors so I had to purchase the film. I laughed the entire film. Generally I don't like films with dry humor but this is one for the ages!
