The cover of that 25th anniversary is nice, what's up with that?

But this CD, is one of the better efforts of Cat, Ruggs, Richard, et al. but that seems to be what one reads about each 3rd World album per different reviewers; I mean on the lastest bestest of compilation, I am readily seeing only one song from this release on CD:

In college I loved it: this is near time contemporaneous to then:

Title Cut, "Let's Rock the World" ('with music, let Jah Creation'), well, this makes for a nice sounding song and title, makes for a good cover of the album, the band playing around the world, like a ring around it, like Saturn has.

Next, is "Spiritual Revolution", upbeat song, keeps the flow of the album, tinge of the Orient in that one part...

3rd; "Who gave you" ; "sounds like Jah to me, singing Jah Rast-a-far-I", a bit of echoing, clashing like cymbal sounds on this, this song, notably, has one of those memorable lines, one finds in reggae songs, some of your favorites, and to me, that is; "WHO LIFTED YOU OUT OF THE IMPOSSIBLE, IT SOUNDS LIKE JAH TO ME" ....3rd World's Optimistic attitude, all et. al. are on this album, a winner.

"Dub Music", okay, upbeat again, I don't understand all about dub that much, rhythmic, keeps flow going, again, nice "Irie" rhythm;

"Shine like a Blazing Fire", hey, like Bob Marley's "I know" from the CD "Confrontation" something on this song, maketh me think of ocean waves, near ocean, 'cept in this case, now it is night time, I would gather, "Shine like a blazing fire" , a mellow slower beat; melodic, this is probably my favorite THIRD WORLD song anywhere, maybe "Ride On Jah Children" as well, from the next sequentially released album by this band, "You've got the power"; melodic, heartfelt...

"Dancing on the floor", HA, IF DISCO WAS LIKE THIS, MAYBE I WOULD'VE GONE WILD OVER IT; sorry, as opposed to what some say, some disco to me, is good but .....so, what is this song like? if I say, it is disco, that doesn't really do it justice, it's got that influence in it though, remember, these albums are in some ways, time capsules, makes the grade admirably!

"There's no need to question why", upbeat again, but here, the idea, is coming through, name of song, that is a statment..this album rolls on....this is not a masterwork of a song, but okay still.

"Peace and Love, Whoa-Oh, Carry Us Through, Whoa-Oh", does that sounds even like a sixties idea...

so you get the idea here, everyone, not every track is strong, so far, it is about half and half, and

(BOY, YOU NEVER SEEN ME )

"Standing in the rain" is another masterpiece by these guys, I mean, they are not Uhuru, Steel Pulse, then neither vice-versa, &got me through a lot of times, they got optimism,

This is a disc, along with "You've got the power", my collection isn't complete without; like the other gent said, I made sure, I had it on cassette back in the 80s, keep a copy; some outstanding tracks are lacking from the anthology; we need a box set, cause there are too many good tracks by these guys; I seek out the CD:

There's no need to question why!

3rd World, veered into other directions, with "sense of purpose" and "hold on to love".

"Rock the World" & "You've Got the Power" are tops in Reggae Music.

This is one of their best albums ever. I keep buying it so that I always have on hand.

Some of Third Worlds finest work appears here. Rock the World, Spiritual Reolution and Who Gave You (Jah Rastafari) are beautiful tracks. But the disco influenced tracks are mostly unimaginative.
