I have been a Kix fan since 1988, after I heard "Cold Blood" on MTV and bought the "Blow My Fuse" album shortly thereafter. I've purchased every Kix album, old and new. While I like them all, I feel their sweet spot is "Midnight Dynamite," which came out the same year as Ratt's "Invasion of Your Privacy," and rivaled it in terms of song quality, production, hooks, guitar work, vocals, and more. After 1985, their lyrics (in my opinion) got progressively more juvenile with each new album...but I could never argue with how killer the music was!

So about this album...it's been 19 years since their last studio effort...what does Kix have to offer? This is a very solid album. Strong, from start to finish. And I wouldn't say that about any of their other albums, really. Maybe Midnite Dynamite. While there's nothing here with a KILLER hook, it's all solid. And it's a strange listen for those of us who know all of Kix's old albums...because it seems as if they've really captured a little bit of the spirit of each of those old records, particularly 1985 and earlier. A lot of the vibe here reminds me of the energy from their first album, waaaay back in 1981.

It surprises me that these guys have the Amazon sales ranks they are currently enjoying with this album. I mean, #1 in sales for the "Hard Rock and Metal" category? Who woulda thunk?? But then I look at the other current candidates and realize how well it's deserved in this veritable wasteland of good hard rock albums.

I'm not generally a reviewer of things. This may be my first. But I feel the need to let the public know that this record will, indeed, rock your face completely off. Before I listened to these songs I had a face -- my mother would even tell you it was a handsome one. But now, after months of repeated listening, my face is completely gone.

Kix Are For Kids, and everyone else who loves good rock! I was hooked on them way back in the early days of MTV. You could always catch Cold Shower, Midnite Dynamite, Don't Close Your Eyes and other songs on a regular rotation. I love them then, and I love them now. It was a very exciting thing to see that a new Kix release was coming after all these years. And after one listen, I'm happy! It's always a treat to hear Steve's voice no matter if he is belting out a scorcher, getting crazy or just having fun with a song. Rock Your Face Off is a return to that fun, and a return to Kix. Besides Steve's trademark awesome vocals, the guitar work and drums are kick ass. And Brian's guitar work give a fantastic Rhino Bucket edge to it. Songs like Wheels in Motion, Dirty Girls, Can't Stop The Show, and Rock and Roll Showdown really rock. And the slower Inside Out Inn shows that these guys really have talent. True fans will love it, and new fans will be looking to all of their previous releases and will be enjoying every song they find.

Awesome new CD from Kix! I am really digging Rock Your Face Off. I am an old school metal and hard rock guy and this is a new twist on old school. They sound as good as they did in the 80's and 90's. And if you ever get a chance to seem them live, you have to go. They put on a great show and sound great! It is a shame that todays rock radio stations don't play more real rock like Kix.

What do you know it's a brand new stinkin' KIX CD! Brand new and pretty damn awesome. If you're a fan of good, fun rock and roll, then you will enjoy the effort put forth by the dirty boys of the underground. Songs like "Wheels in Motion" , Can't Stop the Show and Rock and Roll Showdown", show the band has not lost a step in writing kick ass, riff laden rock songs that stay crammed in your head forever.

Steve Whiteman might have aged since the last album, but his voice sounds timeless on this record. A few times I had to check my calendar and make sure it wasn't 1988. The new KIX sounds fresh and new yet still manages to harness a lot of the old sounds that made them great back in the 80s.

Sit back and crank this up and enjoy some good, FUN rock and roll. Sure the lyrics might be loaded with sexual innuendo and double entendre, but you know what? That's not a bad thing! Life is too short and you're never too old to rock out with your...........................out!

Incredible release by Kix! I got this when it was released and should have wrote a review long ago. This is one of the best out of anything they have done. I have been a long time fan of the band since the first release and was very happy to hear this band stuck to the formula that works called Kix. This band is one of the most underrated bands ever but anyone that truly knows them has a ton of respect for them and with good reason. Kix has always been their own style of Hard Rock/Heavy Metal since day one. They continue to make you feel good with a hard rockin' edge with 'Rock Your Face Off' which by the way I have a very hard time taking it out of my CD player in my car. Out of all the releases which there has been some very good ones this year for Hard Rock/Heavy Metal, this one just never gets old. This album has lots of hooks and killer riffs from beginning till end. The band has a ton of energy and sound very hungry like their youth days. They have not lost a thing and just keep Rockin' like some of the best of them. I would consider this one of my favorites of 2014 out of the old school bands still kickin' along with Stryper's 'No More Hell To Pay' which is no small task!
