Do you still crank up the radio when James Brown sings "I feel good"? Does the sound of a great rock 'n' roll tune bring a smile to your face? Everyone knows music can produce powerful emotional effects, that's why people attach music to important times in their lives. But did you know that the music you grew up with can help you feel better emotionally, spiritually, and physically?
Now, in Rock Your Way To Happiness, you'll learn how the memories of rock 'n' roll music can help you feel happier, healthier and more fulfilled through a concept called Harmogenizing.
Harmogenizing is a fun way to remember important lessons about happiness and contentment. As seen in the hit television show Ally McBeal, associating the memories of a song to your actions can be a powerful motivator. Harmogenizing takes that concept one step further by showing you how to connect lifelong lessons to your favorite oldies, and how to apply the wisdom of those lessons to your everyday life. You'll find healing and uplifting lessons of over 80 favorite classics.
And to help ignite your memories, Rock Your Way To Happiness includes a bonus CD with 21 Original Classic Rock Recordings by Original Artists. This unique blend of self-help and nostalgia provides you with the key to turning the music you hear everyday into a dynamic tool that will help you feel empowered, motivated and happier. Full of engaging anecdotes, Rock Your Way To Happiness is a book that will lift your spirits and start your toes tapping. Rock 'n' roll is here to stay--hear these songs again for the first time.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Rock Your Way to Happiness: Harmogenize! A Fun Way to a More Fulfilling Life (Includes music CD of 21 Original Oldies) (Hardcover)
This book is an attempt by Mr. Lucia to once again reach the success of Walk the Talk; but, it is clearly obvious that without Eric Harvey's and Steve Ventura's help and talent - Al Lucia is left flopping on the deck alone! Now days anyone can self-publish their own book; but, to then have your reviews written by your own daughter and your own sister-in-law, not to mention other friends and family - now that is taking it to a whole new extreme. Hat's off to you Mr. Lucia - you have sunken to a new low in your quest for the all mighty dollar! It is just too bad you had to drag Donna Long down with you!

This Book Works For Me!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Rock Your Way to Happiness: Harmogenize! A Fun Way to a More Fulfilling Life (Includes music CD of 21 Original Oldies) (Hardcover)
I found this book to be fun and rewarding, and I enjoyed the songs on the CD that came with it. The authors point out that all of us have plenty of lessons stored away in memory. The trick is to remember them. They deliver a very practical method to use music as an anchor to remember and use life's lessons. They use specific songs to demonstrate, but also relate how to use your own music, too. Now, I use their methods every day, and I plan to give this book to friends and family as gifts.

What a waste of time and money,

I don't know what is more amazing; the fact that this book actually got published or the fact that the reviewers here must be mostly relatives and employees. This is a colossal waste of time. "Rock your way to happiness?" let's get real. Listening to certain songs might make you feel good because it reminds you of great things in your life. But do you really need a book to tell you that? I don't think so. The CD that comes with the book has good songs on it, but it's clearly aimed at the Baby Boomer generation and earlier. If you gave this book to anyone younger than forty, they would think you're nuts. Let me rephrase that: if you gave this book to ANYONE they would think you're nuts because you actually spent money on such ridiculous excuse for a book. (I got it as a gift; clearly, I am motivated to keep others from either gifting it or re-gifting it as I did.) Save your money. Buy the soundtrack to The Big Chill or get a Mowtown collection and listen and reminisce on your own. Don't pad this guy's pocket.
