No Goddess in this Doorway,
By mvconsults (San Francisco, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rock the Zydeco (Audio CD)
But hey, that's actually a GOOD thing. (See my review about Mick's latest.) Little brother Chris' now 7-year-old effort is the unpretentious, fun and lively affair that Goddess isn't. He effortlessly mixes American Zydeco, country and folk influences into the music. Chris doesn't have the voice Mick has, but it's more than adequate. Big bro sings back up on a couple but you don't really notice it. "Stand up for the Foot", "Cheatin' on your Darlin'" and "Steal the Time" are standouts. This is the same album (US release) as the import "Atcha." Has Chris ever gone on a US club tour? He oughta.

Don't get confused - this is the same album as "Chris Jagger's Atcha! (1994)" under a different name.
