Going from my factory forks on my bike to any set of forks would have been an improvement, but for the price, these are great forks. The fact I can control the rebound and lock it out is exactly what I need for my trail riding. Great forks for the weekend rider.

This is an entry level part, so do not expect it to perform like a SID WC. That said, very nice replacement to the stock suspension on my '01 Trek 4500 training ride. I have taken this on some decent cross country and single track rides and it has performed well. Just make sure to clean the tubes after each ride (like you should be doing anyway) and I see no reason for premature failure.

It's a good deal, so far. I may write more, as time progresses. I had to buy a star nut in order to install these forks. They didn't ship one. You may also want to buy a crown race to put on these forks (so you don't have to use an old one). But for $129 plus free shipping, the deal was still good. They dropped the price a little since I bought mine.
