Matt Hole and the HRG are the best thing to happen to rockabilly since the stray cats. These cats tear it up royal crown style and do everything from hoodoo lounge music to red hot rockabilly and everything in between. If you even think you like rockabilly you owe it to yourself to get this cd, infact, by 2 in case you wear out the first one...YES! these guys ARE this good!

I live in the city where this band was born. This CD rocks but I must say the band is so much better live. They have gotten a new drummer since the album was released but he adds vigor to the band. If you're ever down in south Texas check 'em out, but at least check out the sounds. Look for a live album coming soon!

This CD rocks. It's got 15 slamming tracks that are sure to please. This band is a little gem out of TX that should not be missed. It's a trio, but there is a jamming harmonica player on a couple of tracks. Check this CD out!

This C.D. is Great!!! Rockabilly and swing are really popular right now, and these guys do it up RIGHT!! The Guitar is Rockin', the Bass is Sweet, and the drums really make you move. I went to one of their shows, and they're even better live!

I first saw Matt Hole and the Hot Rod Gang at Wacky's in San Antonio, ever since that show my musical preference has been changed drastically. I was a hardcore punk, but after seein them play, I now apreciate Rockabilly as much as a greaser. I let my brother bring this c.d. to a party, and now about a billion people know the words to "We're From Texas", and on every chorus of the song, everyone lets out a healthy, "yeehaw!". If you ever have a chance to see them live, go at all costs. If you're a yankee devil and you live up north, just buy the album. It should convince you to move down south.

This band rocks! I may be biased, being from the town where the band originated. Matt Hole and the Hot Rod Gang got me interested in rockabilly. But I must say they are so much better live! They have gotten a new drummer since this album was released, but he adds a new spark to their music. If you're ever down this way, come see them! They rule!!
