My 10 month old boy just got this Doggie Pirate Rocker from his grandparents for Christmas. The rocker is cute as can be and seems to be very well made, but there are a few things I have a problem with.

For one thing he's 10 months old and barely fits in the rocker. Thesis of the rocker would be appropriate for a newborn, which doesn't make sense.

The buttons to play the songs are on the steering wheel, but when he's sitting in it there is no way to choose the songs because his body is pressed right up against them. Which brings me to another point. When he actually rocks, his belly presses against the buttons causing the songs to constantly turn on and off every few seconds. Very annoying.

Lastly, a couple of minor annoyances. The flag on the front just lays down instead of sticking up. Also, there's a treasure chest on the back that contains two pirate dogs. I like this idea but since it sits on the back the only way he's going to play with them is if he's not even in the rocker.

As I said, it seems like a very well made rocker, but some of the design choices are confusing to say the least.

Bought this for my newborn nephew for Christmas. His nursery is decorated to have a nautical theme, so I wanted to get him something like a rocking-horse but one that complimented the theme. This was perfect. The seat is padded enough so that it is comfortable to sit on. The two plush pirate dogs come stored in the little treasure chest on the back of the seat and are attached to it with shoelace-like string. On the wheel are the buttons which play different songs.

He's still too young to play with it, but his parents are very pleased!

Bought the Doggie Pirate Ship for my one and half year old for Christmas this year and although it is super cute, it's much smaller than I expected and the actual design leaves a lot to be desired. The back portion of the pirate ship is so big and puffy that it leaves very little room for the child to sit. My son, who is actually a little small for his age, could barely squeeze in to the seat. To accommodate for the puffy plush back, they designed the seat so it is much further up than it should be, throwing the rocker off balance. When my son sits on it, the rocker immediately leans FAR forward. He is a daredevil at heart and is terrified of this thing. We tried putting him on it twice and he lost his mind. This rocker needs to be elongated/ the seat needs to be scooted back by several inches to allow it to sit even a little level when there is a child on it. Bummed that I spent $100 on what was supposed to be his "big" present, only to have to return it.

This is adorable! Got it as a present for our almost one year old grandson. He loves it! I couldn't believe how much he loves it! Of course, it's used with supervision but the smiles and giggles are worth it! Hem, hope he doesn't decide to be a pirate when he grows up!
very peoples with vendor!

I bought it when my son was an infant because I thought it was more of a cradle for some odd reason... So when I got it I was sad he couldn't use it! BUT fastfoward a few months (like 10 months old) and he plopped him on there and he's loved it since. The older he got the more he loved it. He's two (a larger two year old) and still fits comfortably on it. I do wish there was an off button or volume button for that song, or maybe I haven't figured it out but he loves it so much I just grit my teeth and bare it lol. The rocker looks great, it well made and super fun. Well worth it.

This rocker is not as large as I thought it would be. The front sails will not stay up at all they just flop limply to the side. The seat is not as large as it appears. It was kind of squished. My 11 month Olds bum barely fits. Other than that it is cute. The wheel plays different cute songs and the chest with the pirate stuffed animals is cute. We will be keeping it but I'm glad I found it for $50 and didn't pay the $100 or $150.

Bought this a year ago for my nephew's first birthday. It has held up well over the year, and he is still enjoying it. As far as I know, there haven't been any accidents, but I'm not around to know. From my perspective, as long as there is adult supervision, this should be a good toy for a toddler.
