Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Aerosmith

We started playing music in our infant's nursery after our first visit to his daycare, where we noticed them playing music in the crib room to provide white noise for the sleeping babies. The idea of a lullaby-ized version of music we already enjoy listening to appealed to us, so we started out with a couple of the titles in the Rockabye baby series. We've enjoyed them so much that we're now up to ~15 of these, if for no other reason than to provide US with some variety as we rock our child before putting him down for the night. By removing the words and playing the songs at a more or less constant volume, they provide a soothing bedtime experience without the sudden changes in volume and tempo that might otherwise startle or excite a child that you're trying to get (and then keep) asleep.

We were quite excited when we saw that a Rockabye Baby Aerosmith CD was going to be released, as both my wife and I love their music. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, this particular Rockabye Baby CD just doesn't work for us, and we've probably only played it a handful of times since we purchased it. That's not to say that it's horrible, just that there are several other albums in the series that are significantly better, and I would highly recommend starting with those before you bother getting this one.

For parents looking for the top CDs we have tried in this series, I would highly recommend the Coldplay (our favorite of the 15 we have), Led Zeppelin, More Beatles (much better than the first one), Queen, Rolling Stones, Guns N' Roses, and Beach Boys albums.

One of the best ones in this series. Seiriously, I don't know how they turned such rocking material into lullabies...

I jsut got this for my friend's baby fr Christmas. It is the coolest gift ever! I love the lullibies from when I was a kid, but these are so much cooler and its nice to have a change ever now and again. I have put a few on my wishlist for my little one that will be arriving in a few months! Look around on Amazon and you will see there are like 30+ of these in different artists.

This CD was a gift for one of my daughter's friends who is an avid Aerosmith fan. She was so excited to receive it and I believe she is incredibly happy! I've heard several of the songs and they are done so wonderfully...I might just have to add this to my library!

This calms my crabby toddler in the car.. and I also love listening to it on the way to work. I can sing right along!

I use this CD as well as others in the series for my classroom during naptime. It helps me stay sane while my class sleeps peacefully :)

Love giving these CD's as baby gifts. Many people are unaware these collections exist and love them when they receive them! I have 2 children now and still play the CD's every night at bedtime.

I had been going crazy listening to Brahms lullabye and twinkle twinkle. If I heard those songs one more time, I was going to go crazy. This was a great alternative. It soothed my child and yet I could still enjoy the music with her. I higly recommend this to all of you out there who can't stand to hear yet another rendition of All the pretty little horses

Aerosmith is my fav. band and this lullaby CD is great. I have several CD's from this line and my kids love them!
