Only get this cd if you are truly a Bjork fan and can appreciate the lullaby renditions of her music. A FAVORITE, "Come to Me" (a lullaby Bjork wrote for her own son) is gorgeously done as well as "Unravel." My 3 month old loves it!! He has been listening to Bjork before this cd, but he obviously connects better with this style/sound of music for now. Now if they can only get death cab for cutie.....

I purchased this album and The Cure version as well. This is a great album, I liken it to Frosti style track on Vespertine. I played it in the car when I received it and I felt like curling up to sleep. My daughter falls right out when I play it for her. The only unfortunate thing is that she will wake up when it stops playing.

Rockabye Baby is a pleasant rehash of some of Björk's great songs from Homogenics, Vespertine and others. It has lots of bells, vibraphone, wordless choral vocals and absolutely NO Björk singing at all. I was disappointed by this because I wanted to hear her doing lullaby renditions of her greatest hits with her own cooing voice. A missed opportunity. As it is Rockabye Baby is a little boring if you looking to be moved emotionally or otherwise fully engaged as I usually am with Björk's other albums. It's nice, and I have no doubt that it is great for putting babies, and adults, asleep.
