5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Novelty CD
This is a fun CD that helps put my child to sleep just as well as any other lullaby cd does. The difference is that if I can hear it playing, I never get to sleep. Instead, I find myself laying there humming "Mother do you think they'll drop the bomb" until I either go turn it down to a barely audible level or put my pillow over my head. Next thing you know, you'll...

2.0 out of 5 stars Huge fan of the series, but was dissapointed.
First off I have to say that I love this series of music. I think that it is a great idea and most of them are well done. I am afraid to say though that this one isn't as well done. Most PF fans will enjoy the novelty of this cd but it just didn't translate well to the lullabye style. I found that this cd isn't very relaxing to listen to and noticed that the music...

Next thing you know, you'll find yourself in the shower whistling Goodbye Blue Sky at a third of the regular tempo. Even so, it's a fun cd that helps break the redundancy of hearing Baa Baa Black Sheep for the million and thirty seventh time.

I recommend this CD to any parent who has hopes of influencing their little one into loving the same music as they do or perhaps even into becoming a failed rocker just as they were in their younger days. But... don't be heartbroken when you realize you really just spent $15 on white noise for the baby while he/she has nightmares of teddy bears stealing their pacifiers. At least it'll be to the soundtrack of your older brother's heyday.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply amazing!, January 4, 2007

We just received this CD as a gift for our upcoming daughter and look forward to ordering others from the Rockabye Baby! collection. The songs are true to the original, with just enough of a "nursery" sound, minus the lyrics. I look forward to rocking the baby while listing to some classic songs that both my husband and I love. Much better than always listening to the same old nursery rhymes that are out there. What a great compromise!

Most PF fans will enjoy the novelty of this cd but it just didn't translate well to the lullabye style. I found that this cd isn't very relaxing to listen to and noticed that the music would wake my baby up more than put her to sleep, not to mention myself as I heard it over the baby monitor.

Do you know what's great about those songs? that you will feel REALLY jealousy about you kid! Imagine that: to hear Mother since when it is into its mother.

My husband's favorite band, my favorite type of music. Everyone in the family loves all of the Lullaby Renditions. I always have music playing at home and this Pink Floyd lullaby CD is soothing. I also use this CD as background music for the dogs while we are at work. The dogs love it too - they told me so!

5.0 out of 5 stars Clever baby gift!, December 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Gave this as a baby gift to my friends who are huge Pink Floyd fans and they LOVE LOVE LOVE it. They have actually made copies of the CD for themselves to listen to in their cars. They said it is a great change from all the other weird sing along music that kids have to listen to and that it is almost trippy! I am so happy that I gave this gift, and I think that it is a really clever idea for someone who loves a band and wants to get their child involved in music early! I HIGHLY recommend any of the Rockabye Baby CD's for a gift or for yourself!

Our son is now 3.5 weeks old and we play this for him everyday. He is still in the hospital so there are lots of alarms and loud noises, but when we play this CD, along with the Bob Marley version too, he calms down. The CD is very peaceful and the nurses like it too.

I bought this for my brother-in-law for my sister's baby shower-he is a huge Pink Floyd fan-he loved it so much that he was playing it while getting the nursery finished before baby was even home! I think he enjoyed the fact that he was thought about too in buying for the baby shower!
