I've got 8 or 10 of the Rockabye albums, and this is my favorite so far. The songs are recognizably Pixies, but they get the patented Rockabye treatment and come out as happy, gentle cribside ditties :-)

If you like the Pixies (or love them) and have a kid this is a must. Frank Black's voice is replaced by xylophone - so cool.

as a huge fan of the pixies since way back then, i was totally excited to pass along their music (albeit in a watered down, sleep inducing version) to my smallest daughter. my other 3 year old daughter is already listening to them in their original state, so she wasn't interested in taking a step backwards. this is a great tribute, and i was surprised to find that i love the version of "monkey gone to heaven" almost as much as the original. Frank Black, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering would be proud!
