Having come of age in the days of grunge and alternative music, I have an appreciation for music that isn't necessarily baby friendly. After listening to the Baby Einstein lullaby CD almost every night for the last 20 months, I decided I needed to hear something new at bed time. I do hope someday to share the original versions with my son, but this is quite nice for now. Who knew?

Owning almost every Rockabye Baby! cd in the collection, I must say the Smashing Pumpkins lullaby rendition is my favorite alongside the Cure and Bjork. There is not one track to skip, as all of them are wonderfully remade to relect the "softest" side of these songs. My son LOVES this cd and he has impeccable taste for a 4 month old....

This is a review of the entire rockabye baby series, the renditions of smashing pumpkins is my favorite of the series so I am posting my review here.

For the last few years I have had problems sleeping. Sometimes I would go three or four nights with out sleep and other nights I would fall in to a light slumber at 5:30 am only to wake up at 6:00 am for school. Listening to music never helped me, I would just lay in bed awake for hours because I would be thinking about the lyrics, melodies, instrumentation, etc.

A few weeks ago I stumbled across the rockabye baby series, and suddenly part of my problem was solved. Even though I still go nights with out sleep and most nights I don't fall asleep until the sun has already started to rise, when I get in bed and attempt to fall asleep I put on these lullabies and fall asleep right away.

I would love to tell you that these songs are amazing from beginning to end but I can't because I'm never awake to hear the ends.

As a mother of a one year old, I can tell you that this CD has saved my sanity on many car trips. I keep this CD in my CD changer in the car at all times. When baby starts to get fussy, I turn this on and within a few minutes, she's either calmly listening to it or sound asleep! Besides the fact that it works so well to calm my baby, it isn't the same old lullaby's that you are sick of by the 10th time you've heard them! I often find myself singing along with the CD (there are no vocals on the CD, but if you are a Smashing Pumpkin fan like myself, you can easily sing along with the instrumentals). I would whole-heartedly recommend this CD to parents.

I bought this for my husband for Valentine's Day as a pre-baby gift. We both love Smashing Pumpkins and we both love this CD. We play it often and we hope that when baby arrives, he/she will love it too!

Awesome. Our daughter is sleeping to good music and will no doubt have a good taste in the music she listens to later on ;-)

Your little bundle of joy has arrived and now life is ALL about them--as it should be! But every parent still likes to feel like an adult every now and again, right? Plus, have you heard some of the kid music out there? The Rockabye Baby series are great!! I love them, my little one loves them, Daddy loves them too! It's a win-win-win!

I got this for myself and my 4 month old son. We both kick back and fall asleep together to it. If you like SP then this should be right up your alley, if you like mega relaxation.

Bought this b/c our son was having trouble falling to sleep. As Smashing Pumpkins fans, we were excited to find this cd. We love it and all that we share it with, have loved it too. It's very nice and calming.

Great cd. My sister is having a baby boy in April and I grew up on the pumpkins. It will be amazing to share my love of the 90's with my nephew.
