This cd really is a great one for any fan of ska. The band features a tenor sax and a trumpet as the only horn players, but the rest of the band complements them well. The songs are very catchy, especially track 4. The only complaint I have is that the cd is a little short. It really makes we want to buy their second release, "Overexposed", but it is hard to find and currently out of stock here. They play an awesome live show--I saw them this summer with Slick Shoes and Less than Jake, and they get really into their music. If you've never heard of Face First, this cd gives you a nice taste of the energy that they put into their style of ska.

This is by far the best CD face first has put out yet! The lyrics are incredable and the music is very intricate and detailed. This amazing combination of up beat ska and hard core punk will just totally rock your world and change the way you look at music forever!

i used to own this album... it was given to me for free by the band itself when i saw them in rockaway about 10 years ago... the cd was lent to a friend and never returned to me. because of the rarity, i can understand the pricing. i hope to be able to eventually resell it!

Face First was the best ska band most people never heard of! They had everything it would take to be the next LTJ and in my opinion that means alot. They had credibility, content and mass appeal. Its a shame they couldn't hold it together longer. they have apparently regrouped into the decidedly more punk (and less ska) Houston Calls. I just feel that they lost something great with the conversion.

I originally saw Face First locally at a small, NJ punk show. They're a really great punk band with a ska sort of edge. Their amazing lyrics add demension to the catchy tunes.
