I'm writing this review to clear something up and to offset the 1 star reviews given by the two people before me that do not own this stove nor have they ever used it or see one work. These 2 people are fans of a style of stove called a "Rocket Mass Heater" also known as a "Rocket Stove". Rocket stoves are based on the Rocket Mass Heater technology but are used outdoor for cooking. They are basically just the burn chamber and riser that a Rocket Mass heater use inside it's outer casing. Rocket Mass Heaters are used to heat homes, shops and so many other things. The problem is that no one sell a complete EPA approved Rocket Mass Heater to the public as right now. If you want one of those you're going to have to make it or have someone make it for you.

If you are looking for a Rocket Mass Heater or a Rocket stove this is not what you are looking for.

However with that being said this stove is only using the name Rocket. It's not claiming to be a Rocket Mass Heater or Stove. I myself have never used the stove for sale. I've never seen it work ether. I gave it a 4 star rating based on the ratings I saw on another website that sells this same exact stove. Those customers actually own one of these and seem to be happy with it. So since Amazon requires that I give it a rating to write a review I gave it the same rating I saw on that website. I also did it because rating a product 1 start because you don't like the name they choose to use is unjustified at best. It's misleading to customers that might be looking for an EPA approved wood stove and know nothing about Rocket Mass Heaters or Stoves.

I hope this information helps some of you.

Installed last fall to replace a pellet stove. Works great and produces heat quickly. Have burned eco blocks this season.
I do not miss the blower noise and component failures I experienced in the 15 years I have burned pellets.
Many of these EPA - Fire brick stoves are very similar in design. This unit has a smaller fire box but it is rated as an extra small stove on the Drolet website.
My guess is that they named the unit the "Rocket" due to the Hockey scene and a tribute to the great "Rocket Richard"
It is a Canadian product.

This is NOT a rocket stove. Rocket stoves are usually much smaller, have a different design and are heavily insulated.

Rocket stoves are insulated. Using the name rocked could be misleading to an ignorant customer. Real rockets are better. Peter.
