5.0 out of 5 stars Rocket Gang Forever!
If you're a Team Rocket fan (let's see, look at my name..)you should get this CD. Even if you don't know a single word of Japanese, it's great. No Ash-tachi here, it's all Team Rocket! It's a single and it has 5 songs on it. It's a mini-disc, so it's 1/2 the size of a normal CD, but you should still be able to listen to it in a CD player. "Rocket Dan yo Eien...

3.0 out of 5 stars Rocket Gang Forever.
If you're a Roketto Dan fan, you need this CD. It is the fourth Poketto Monsutaa CD released. Or if you just love Poketto Monsutaa, buy this.

The first song is by Musashi, Kojiro and Nyaasu singing about how their is an evil in the world and they will show everyone the light. Just shows how far off 4 Kids were with their version!

The second song is by Kojiro singing...

"Rocket Dan yo Eien ni" is first, and I believe the literal translation is "Rocket Gang Forever". It's Kojiro, Musashi, and Nyase singing, and it's kind of a pop/rock song. They speak of how they always blast off and about halfway through they go into their motto. "Lucky Lucky" is also pop/rock and is sung by Kojiro, and it speaks of how he met a girl in a club. It's very punny, as they keep mentioning Pokémon names all throughout it. "Nyasu no Uta" is Nyase's solo. In America they had a shortened version of it in the episode of the anime "Go West Young Meowth". The other two tracks are karaoke versions of "Rocket Dan yo Eien ni" and "Nyasu no Uta". If you're a casual anime fan or a full blown otaku, it dosen't make a difference, you should still get this CD. =^o^= Nya!

For those who don't know Japanese-

-tachi is a suffix, it basically means "Ash and his friends".

Kojiro is James. Musashi is Jessie. Nyase (or Nyasuu or Nyarth) is Meowth. An Otaku is an anime fan. Anime is Japanese animation.

I hope this was helpful for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Team Rocket's CD Single, December 29, 1999
This review is from: Rocket Gang Forever! (Audio CD)
If you're a Team Rocket fan, then this CD is a must have. This CD is a single that contains 5 tracks sung entirely by Team Rocket. "Rocket Dan yo Eien ni" is a rock song sung by Jessie, James and Meowth. "Lucky Lucky" is also a pop/rock song sung solo by James. "Nyasu no Uta" is a love song, also sung solo, by Meowth. The other two tracks consist of "Rocket Dan yo Eien ni" and "Nyasu no Uta" in their instrumental or "karaoke" format. If you love Team Rocket or Pokémon, you'll love this CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! Wicked Cool!, January 15, 2000
This review is from: Rocket Gang Forever! (Audio CD)
When I first opened the package, I was so surprised! I thought they made a mistake with my order, because this CD case looked kinda like a brochure! And then I opened it, there was a mini-cd inside! I was so excited, but worried that maybe my computer's CD player wouldn't play it. Much to my relief, my computer's CD does play it, so I can listen to it while shopping on amazon! Anyways, the songs are "Rocket Dan yo Ein Ni" [If I am not mistaken, "Rocket Gang Forever" is the translation] sung by all three of the trio [Kojiro, Musashi, and Nyaasu], the second is "Rakki Rakki", aka "Lucky Lucky", sung by Kojiro. The third is "Nyaase no Uta", a love song from cute little Nyaase [aka Nyaasu]. Then comes the kareoke version of "Rocket Dan yo ein ni" followed by the kareoke version of "Rakki Rakki". I love this CD and I listen to it all the time, a must get for any Team Rocket Fan! ^^

*Note, for you japanese illiterate.. Kojiro = James,

Musashi = Jesse, Nyaase/Nyaasu = Meowth

4.0 out of 5 stars Japan shows how it should be done, July 22, 2001
By
This review is from: Rocket Gang Forever! (Audio CD)
This CD single features songs from the Japanese series of Pokemon, about Team Rocket. The first one is "Roketto Dan Yo Eien Ni" which is the Team Rocket Theme Song, sung by the whole gang (Jessie, James and Meowth). A shortened version of this song was sung in the American series in the "Song Of Jigglypuff" episode.

The next track is "Rakki Rakki" (Lucky Lucky) which is completely bonkers. Its` a song sung by Kojiro (James) and its` about how he met a girl in a club, with lots of little puns (the Japanese Pokemon names) throughout. This song is weird, but quite funny.

The last track is called "Nyasu no Uta" (Meowth`s Song), and despite not understanding the lyrics because its` in Japanese, I really like this track. Its` a gentle ballad where Meowth sings about his love for Meowzie, the female Meowth. I think this song has more emotion in Japanese than English, making for a much better song.

The next two tracks are instrumental versions of "Roketto Dan Yo Eien Ni" and "Nyasu no Uta".

Even if you can`t understand the language, I recommend this CD if you`re a Pokemon fan, as it has some very good music (which is not at all "kiddy") that also captures the overall mood of the show well - a lesson the series` US producers could learn when putting their soundtracks together.

5.0 out of 5 stars It doesn't get any better!, May 31, 2001
This review is from: Rocket Gang Forever! (Audio CD)
This is, hands down, my absolute favorite Pokemon album! It's totally Team Rocket! What more could you want? ^_^ Musashi and Kojiro have beautiful singing voices, and Nyasu's vocals are extremely entertaining as well. "Rocket-dan Yo Ein Ni," TR's anthem, is much more meaningful (and humorous) in the original Japanese than it is in the English dubs. "Lucky Lucky" is a hilarious and somewhat ribald song involving Japanese pokemon names. "Nyasu No Uta," another song that's more meaningful in Japanese than in English, is a touching lament that brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. The instrumental versions of "Rocket-dan Yo Ein Ni" and "Nyasu No Uta" are a nice bonus as well. The CD even has a lot of great artwork, featuring the gorgeous Musashi and Kojiro, the adorable Nyasu, their wonderful pokemon, and even a bit of Rocketshippy symbolism! So, if you want to laugh, cry, rock out, and see some beautiful pictures of Team Rocket, this is definitely for you! If only every Pokemon album could be this great! *_*

5.0 out of 5 stars If you love Team Rocket you'll LOVE this CD !, January 6, 2000

For the true fan, the language difference won't take away from the fun of this CD. Though sung in japanese I found it enjoyable and worth listening to again and again (and then again) The CD contains 3 vocal songs and 2 of music. The songs range from romantic type to crazy and bouncy, enjoyed by ages 8-88. The CD is in itself somewhat atention getting because of its small size, only 1/2 that on a normal USA CD! RECOMENDED !

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Pocket Monsters CD out there!, July 12, 2000
By
JoEker (Leicester, England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rocket Gang Forever! (Audio CD)
Of all the Japanese Pocket Monsters CDs I own, this is by far the best. The first track on here is named "Rocket Dan yo Eien ni", translated as "Team Rocket Forever". Musashi, Kojiro and Nyaasu (Jessie, James & Meowth) sing a great song, including the motto halfway through. This song was dubbed in the anime (in the episode "The Song of Jigglypuff), but they had some truly awful lyrics - 4Kid removes all the emotion and meaning and replaces it with rhymes. This is the best version of it.

Secondly, we have a song called "Lucky Lucky". I'm not a big fan of this song - it's sung by Kojiro, but the puns are annoying - a Happy (Chansey) keeps wittering away in the background, which grates on my nerves. But the next track makes up for all of that...

"Nyaasu no Uta" or "Meowth's Song" is fantastic. Out of every Pocket Monsters song, it is my favorite. Thanks to a lot of practice, I can sing it perfectly, and often alienate friends with a burst of "Sekai no donna maryori marui Nyaa," It's a very sad, slow, song, and even though I don't fully understand the lyrics, it is a very emotional song, unlike most US songs.

Best of all, this CD also includes the karaoke versions of Rocket Dan yo Eien ni and Nyaasu no Uta. And on Amazon, it's really cheap! :)

If you are a Pocket Monsters fan, and especially a Team Rocket fan, then definitely buy this CD... you won't regret it!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Japanese Pokemon CDs!, May 1, 2003
This review is from: Rocket Gang Forever! (Audio CD)
(Actually I don't have this CD but I am going to buy it very soon. But I own several other Japanese Pokemon CDs and one of them, "It's a White Tomorrow!", contains songs from this mini CD as well, so I know them very well.)

This is probably one of the best Pokemon CDs I know about, because I love Team Rocket a lot and they are also the main reason why I watch Pokemon. This CD contains only Team Rocket songs:

1. Roketto Dan yo Eien ni: My most favorite Japanese Pokemon song. It is not because it is so excellent song but as I said before it is because Team Rocket are my favorites and this song is so cute and rocketshippy! I love Musashi's cute voice and Nyasu trying to sing his own part but he is stopped by Musashi and Kojiro's angry voice. This song is 1000x better than Team Rocket's American song Double Trouble! Blech! And there must be any reason it is my most favorite, right?

2. Rakki Rakki (Lucky Lucky): Also good Pokemon (Team Rocket)song. I had heard the midi version first and I was surprised how it sounded when I listened to it's real version on CD. It sounded very different to me. It took awhile till I got used to it but now I like this song. I've read some into English translations of this song and it contains hard-to-translate puns. For example Myutsu (Mewtwo) means "meet you". You have to know Japanese Pokemon names and what they mean to understand to it's lyrics. But the melody is pretty good and - finally - it is Kojiro's song!

3.Nyasu no Uta: Meowth's song, 2nd Japanese ending song to the anime. I'd liked the midi version a lot but then when I heard the original version with Nyasu's voice, I loved it even more! Nyasu's voice is so cute! It may seem too hard (but it is cat's voice, isn't it) and some people say it makes no good to this great melody, but I disagree with them. It is Nyasu's song and it is great!

4.Roketto Dan yo Eien ni - karaoke: Just the melody of the first song. Perfect! You can sing along. But I leave singing to Musashi and Kojiro, my singing is terrible:)

Five stars, no doubt. I also recommend you to buy "It's a White Tomorrow!" CD if you liked this one.
