haunting, beautiful, & poetic (no less!),

a friend originally let me borrow this c.d. but after not recieving back for a while, he let me keep it and, oh, how i adore it! the songs are wonderfully written, masterfully preformed, and political in a very not-in-your-face type way. some are even kooky, songwriting that brings to mind phranc, another incrediably taleneted folk singer. thanks so much, hugh, for a goregous album that warms me through and through; you rock babe! -lyds

i was hesitant to buy this cd, because my interest in Hughs music was starting to wane. But, am I glad I changed my mind. This is most certainly Hughs best work to date. A beautiful recording.
