The Rocketfish RF-WED2C 8mp USB webcam was a very smart purchase. I own a Mac Mini and was surprised at how easy it was to set this camera up. Not only is it great for still shots, I am able to video chat clearly from across the world! Definitely worth the money for the quality!

This was the first time I ever purchased a webcam, so can't compare with others. Installation did not work the first time. I am running Window7 and had to install driver/software a 2nd time before it worked. After the first time, it didn't want to detect the device. Other than that, I was very satisfied with the product. The picture was clear enough and colors accurate. If your looking for an inexpensive webcam, you can't go wrong with this one.

Great web cam....easy to download, great pic, sound, the only con would be the attachment is not that stable on my laptop but works for what I use it for. Which is to web chat with relatives from around the world.

Webcam is very small and sits conveniently on a laptop screen.. I have never had issues with it falling off except for my error.

The only problem I have is that it sometimes stops working for no reason whatsoever... "sometimes" being a little more frequently than this should happen. Cam has been well taken care of and not abused, but apparently there is some kind of short in the cord that causes it to happen. If you can manager not to bump the cord, it generally works, but one bump and there it goes.

Still a good value with a good picture when it does work. It also picks up pretty well in low light.. much better than my built in webcam.

I needed a camera for my Mac tower but wasn't interested in spending a ton of money just to Skype with friends. This camera is really great. I plugged it in, no software needed for Mac, Skype-called a friend, hit the video call button and it just started working. Perfect picture, works well in lower light... Great buy.

This webcam was basically what I needed, it's a good value, the autofocus works well. The fps seems a little low and there's a slight lag on my macbook compared to the built in webcam, but that's not a big deal, it's worth what it costs.

There's just one thing I wish I had read better before purchasing - there's a mention of 8 megapixel mode. By software interpolation, with an asterisk on the box. By that reasoning you might as well call it an 800 megapixel webcam and just scale the image up more. Ultimately you just end up with mega pixels - gigantic pixels - instead of megapixels as in more pixels. Just thought it was funny.

Don't know how they can sell this so cheap! It's a great little starter webcam.. retails $40-$50... works fine in low light. Using it with Mac OSX 10.6.8, and all I had to do was open ichat and change the setting in the box that automatically popped up to disable built in icam and enable Rocketfish... no need to even touch the dvd...As the other reviews say, I have no idea what they think the clip would clip on, but you can figure out your own solution... Would totally recommend this for Mac users.
