5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious!, August 31, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Rockford Files: Nice Guys Finish Dead [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This episode was one of the best. Fans will see a young Tom Selleck before he became "Magnum P.I.", together with Larry Manetti (another Magnum alumni) and James Whitmore, Jr., and Simon Oakland who would later co-star in "Baa Baa Black Sheep". The story line is amusing and the action is non-stop. A must see for all those who grew up in the 70s and 80s.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two Detective Icons Meet, September 6, 2005
This review is from: Rockford Files: Nice Guys Finish Dead [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Just before he began his run in Magnum P.I., Tom Selleck guest-starred as the self-assured private eye Lance White in this episode of The Rockford Files. Selleck and Garner have to work together to solve a murder at the annual awards dinner of the United Association of Licensed Investigators.

The clashing styles of the smooth, dashing Selleck and Garner's skeptical everyman made this a fun episode.
