I bought two of these for twenty eight dollars each, shipped free. I built my own sealed box out of half-inch MDF that I bought at Home Depot. They cut the pieces for me. This box went under my back seat of my 1998 F-150 extended pick-up. I had to raise the back seat by 2.75 inches to fit the box. The dimensions of the box ended up being 50 inches by 12 inches by 7 inches. The subs fire downward. It is a sealed box, and has a divider between the two chambers. The subs are 8 ohm each, so I wired them in parallel to reduce the impedance to a 4 ohm load driving both subs. I stuffed the box with some polyfill. It is already over the box volume for a sealed box. The amp driving these subs is an old-school Sherwood XA-1180. I have it in bridged mode mono and should be pushing 360watts RMS. In short, the sealed box under the back seat hits really hard. I have to turn down the gain on the amp pretty far. It is a very punchy bass. It it just the type of extra low end that I wanted. And the whole thing cost me less than one hundres dollars. I would recommend these P1 subs. I am going to get another couple of these for my wife's VW van.

this sub sounds great. a sealed box and it will thump and shake the mirrors like crazy. this price is too high tho, go crutchfield.

Put this in my old Onkyo subwoofer box that has a 150 watt 8 ohm powered amp and all I have to say is my Onkyo HT-R260 receiver and this subwoofer rock! With this subwoofer in a home theater setting you can challenge any of the top subs out there. The sub can handle ridiculous bass or LFE signals sent to it.

i happened to catch this thing for a steal. once set up, i was surprised how powerful it is because i went as cheap as i could and the box is a behind the seat truck box. now mind you, its not competition level, but for those who like to actually hear the music they are listening to, not just vibrations and rumbles, when paired with other nice aftermarket audio it sounds excellent, and doesnt drown out the other audio, yet like the name, it still packs a solid punch. although its very nice, for the full price, i would step up to the 4 ohm. but get it on sale, snag that thing before its gone.

I previously owned 2 12" Prime R1 Rockford Fosgate subs; upon switching cars I no longer had space for them, but I was still impressed by Rockford quality and price. I purchased this sub for only $30 here on Amazon. At first I was dubious about the 8 ohm impedance, but once I bridged it on a 350 watt Kenwood amp, the results were spectacular. For a 10" subwoofer it can hit the lows incredibly well, but the highs are where it truly shines, thumping hard and vibrating the crap out of anything above 35hz.
My only complaint is that this sub is gigantic; the mounting depth is listed at 5 1/4", but it's closer to 9 1/4". I bought an enclosure with 6" mounting depth and it would not fit; I ended up inverting the sub.
I highly recommend this sub, just be sure you have the space for it.

I bought two of these to install in my pickup under the seat. I got a very good deal on Amazon - [...] for the pair shipped! Each one has 0.8 ft^3 net air space and are receiving about 200 watts total for the pair from two channels of a 6-channel JL Audio amp. I am very impressed with the sound output and the quality. I used to have two Eclipse Aluminum 10" in the same box driven by a Rockford BD1501. While these do not match the output or sound quality of the Eclipses, there were also only 1/5 the cost and require about 1/5 the power.

I am very happy with my purchase. There are not many drivers at less than 2x the price that would perform significantly better.
