My son bought a P2 12" box set up from Best Buy over 3 yrs ago, runing an Infinity 600 to power them. Since then we have moved the subs into a 94' Tahoe, ditched the Infinity amp for a RF Prime 1000 amp. Now the P2's hit hard but nothing like P3's. We bought a box set up with the P3's in it and what an instant difference in sound and how hard the hit.
Currently in next upgrade phase where i will build a custom box housing 3 P3 12" in a triple ported box wired down to 2.67 ohms being pushed by a RF Power T1000-1 turned down some so i dont blow the subs. Should hit crazy hard, we are huge Rockford Fosgate fans and have written many reviews here on Amazon because i have bought many RF products from here. 8 amps(all Rockford Fosgate)7 to be used in next upgrade: P200-2, New PBX 300x4,(2) P500-4, Power T400-4,(2) Power T1000-1. All to run Rockford Fosgate speakers: T1 1", T1 4",(6) T1 6.5",(4) T1 6x9s,(3) P3 12"s and 2 TI 15"s.
This system has been upgraded twice but this should be the final upgrade and rock hard and loud in a 94' Tahoe.

I got one of these to replace an orion xtrpro and it does a fair job at that. The down side is that these subs are far too expensive for what you get. Yes, I now have a mongrel system.

all i can say is wow for the price, i just hooked it up and doing the break in phase so its not even half, and im afraid my one of my windows will pop.. you always get what you pay for or the company reputation and i had fosgate as a young one, never a 500 but with fosgate 500 amp (rated 522 rms on paper) that i bought last week and this sub, my neighbors will be mad when i set the EQ.. I would reccomend this to anyone..

A good deal for the price, given Rockford's solid record and standing. I run a set of these in a dual sealed box with a JBL-GTO14001 and they sound phenomenal. Though if you have the money I would recommend stepping up the watts depending on your amp. Punch is a great production series but you don't necessarily need to out overpower your subs and burn them up(even with it being near impossible to with these unless you're trying to). Rockford proves they're still a force to be reckoned with in the Car Audio Industry. And again, not the most expensive sub-woofer out there, but well worth the money - raising the bar with high quality performance.

I have two of these and each one is hooked up to its very own 1800W max 900W RMS Kenwood amp. I somehow managed to shove the subs in the back of my small pickup and they sound phenomenal. Even with my amp settings pretty low you can still hear/feel these subs a good 50 feet away. The best part of these subs is that they aren't just loud...they're clean which is far more important than being loud. I'd highly recommend buying these subs.

This particular sub has amazing hard hitting bass and loves the power, so when getting a amp to match it make sure you get the right one. Once all hooked up you will love the power and bass it puts out.
