A GREAT REFERENCE BOOK ON THE SIXTIES'S MUSIC,
By ALAIN ROBERT (ST-HUBERT,QUEBEC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Rockin' '60s: The People Who Made the Music (Paperback)
It's got everything you always wanted to know about singers and groups that started in the sixties:BIOGRAPHIES,ORIGINAL DISCOGRAPHY OF EACH ARTIST,RECORD COMPANIES ETC.This book can be very usefull to anyone interested in sixties's music. It's only a little short on pictures, but it is a minor weakness. The BRITISH INVASION GROUPS,MOTOWN,STAX,PHIL SPECTOR,BOB DYLAN,JIMI HENDRIX ,everyone gets an appreciation and an overview that gives you more than just the usual simple biographical notes. After all ,let's not forget that the sixties were the final glory days of popular music;it was before disco, rap and rythyms boxes that almost killed popular music.I assured you that your money won't be spend for nothing if you buy that book. Here's your chance to get to know SHARON STONE's favorite group:HERMAN'S HERMITS when she was a teenager.Yes i know it's trivia, but anything can make you buy a product.
