What a strange little collection of songs from the Seventies. There are only ten tracks on "Rockin' 70's, Volume 2" but one of them is "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, which is one of the longer tracks out there (it is the original studio recording). Lynyrd Skynyrd gets two bites of this particular aple with "What's Your Name" as well. There is an effort to cover the decade, beginning with one of the last hits by Steppenwolf, "Hey Lawdy Mama," and getting all the way to the disco madness of "Car Wash" by Rose Royce. You have pop represented by Three Dog Night's "An Old Fashion Love Song" and Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds's "Don't Pull Your Love Out" while R&B is reduced to "Keeper of the Castle" by the Four Tops. The point is you probably already have the good stuff (and probably multiple version of "Free Bird") so the question is whether you are nostalgic for one hit wonders like Bo Donaldson & the Heywoods with "Billy Don't Be a Hero." There are songs by Dave Mason and ELO here as well, but not the ones that would help make this CD attractive. I do not think you will find five songs here that you do not already have that you would want to add to your music library.

i love amazon's deals on great music like this cd! in my opinion they have the best selection of rare and older music which really is cool. im onlly 32 but i listen to music as old as the 30's and 40's so amazon is great for stuff like this! if you dont like to wait for shipping you can also check and see if they have what you want on mp3 its faster and easier i think but some people are just old fashioned. i purchased this for my mother who doesnt have a computer and i got myself the same cd on mp3, love the whole thing. it truly is amazing to find nice collections like this to enjoy for generations to come. thank you thank you thank you amazon very much.

IT IS A GREAT CD. I LOVE THE SONGS THAT ARE ON THIS CD
