"As a father of seven and grandfather of six, I've read my share of fluffy bunny books but here's a book I can really get behind. Rockin' Babies rocks!" --Quincy Jones

I have never gone to the trouble to leave a review for a book, and I RARELY go to the trouble to return a book to Amazon, but this book missed the mark. I read the other reviews for this book, and I thought it sounded adorable. The text follows the format, "Rockin' babies do ______." The page I found most inappropriate said, "Rockin' babies spit on authority figures." Now, the intent was clearly to be cute and hip, the illustration that went with the text was a picture of a baby in a high chair that just spit on his Dad's business suit. If you are reading this book to a 3-month old, the baby clearly will have no idea what the text says. But older siblings (and eventually the baby) will understand what it means to spit on someone. Another page says, "Rockin' babies trash their rooms." Some parents may feel that it's all in good fun and shouldn't be taken so seriously, and if you're one of them, you will probably enjoy this book. But personally, it just didn't work for me. I don't want to send the message that negative behavior is cute. Just my .02

This book is perfect for moms and dads with a keen sense of humor about how we tend to make "rock stars" out of our kids. For anyone who can laugh at the idea that we take so many photos of our kids we become paparazzis, this is for them. A great gift for hipster parents.

Dr. Jenn and Cynthia Weil tell it like it is in this way-cool, well-written board book: you're never too YOUNG to rock and roll! The artwork is yummy to look at, and it's the perfect addition to any little human's library...and the perfect gift for moms and their up-and-coming rock stars!

I"ve read more board books to my grand kids than I can remember and this is the first one that made me laugh out loud. My latest 2 year old was fascinated by the colorful picures and loved choosing his favorite baby but I got a huge kick from the clever word play. These little people are like rock stars. Why did we not recognize it before this?

I don't know if it's the words, the pictures, the colors or what but my babies (11 month old twins) LOVE this book. I read them other books and they'll be distracted playing with their toys - but when I read "Rockin Babies" they sit there mesmerized and want to touch the book and play with it. It's really cute and very fun for me!!

My baby's nursery is themed "rockstar", so I had to have this book. The pictures are so cute and I love reading it to my kids.

I did not get this book from Amazon but had to provide a review. I LOVE THIS BOOK. It's super cute and although my baby had not arrived yet, I read it to her quite frequently. Love the pictures and how it flows. I am also taking it to the hospital when we go in for delivery so I can read it to her face to face. She is rockin my tummy all the time and I know she will be rockin our hearts when she arrives. Great book, light-hearted and good fun. ROCK ON MOMS

UPDATE 2013: My lil one is still rockin to this book and loves it even more now that she is older. The book has held up pretty well since we take it a lot on trips and she carries it with her around the house.

I wanted to comment on the issue with other comments saying this book isn't suitable for children. Everyone is entitled to their opinion especially when it comes to parenting, but this book is really meant to be fun, lighthearted and a play on words. This book is also not educational and doesn't display numbers, colors, or the abc's. If you are looking for that, get a book that is titled that way. I make all my books, like this one, educational by having my child count the people in the book and point out the colors of the outfits and scenery. I have read this to her a hundred times and I can tell you she has not been influenced to shield hugs from her adoring fans (grandparents), frown at mobs of pictures or spit on mommy or daddy.
