An exellent trad rockabilly band, August 25, 2004

Traditional rockabilly at it's finest, is what The Rockin' Bones offer here on thier self titled cd. They are one of the top trad rockabilly groups of today. If you like The Roy Kay Trio, Big Sandy or Deke Dickerson, you'll also love The Rockin' Bones. All 8 cuts sound perfectly suited to the 50's rockabilly/Sun records genre, and many are self penned. This music is timeless, from the slap bass right down to the snare drumsm, reminding us of The Blue Caps(Gene Vincents backup band). A mighty fine cd that perfectly showcases a mighty fine rockabilly combo, with touches of jazz, and wetsern swing.
