This is a good collection of rock and roll Christmas songs, recorded between 1953 and 1964. Classics like "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", "Run Rudolph Run" and "Jingle Bell Rock". Plus lesser known, but great, songs like "Hey Santa Claus" and "I'm Gonna Lasso Santa Claus". "Surfin' Santa" isn't very good (it's a ripoff of "Alley Oop"), but it's fun, in a goofy way. But the reason I got this CD was to get "Surfer's Christmas List" on CD. Good CD, but at 29 minutes length, it's a bit short.

this cd is purfect for background music. each cut is clear and beautiful. very nostalgic and so much better than christmas carols.

Great, all the tracks are just great! I recently bought this on a cassette tape at a thrift shop and my wife and I love it. Her favorite is "I'm Gonna Lasso Santa Claus" and mine is "Mambo Santa Mambo" Both songs are listed one after the other so we get to dance to our favorite back-to-back! Now I'm getting it on CD. It will be a hit at our X-Mas party; I'm sure.

My family has listened to this CD while decorating the tree since I was a small child, so I might be a little biased when I say that this is the greatest collection of Christmas songs ever assembled!! OK, maybe not, but any Christmas lover will love this unique collection of old standards (Merry Christmas, Baby, Jingle Bell Rock) and off the wall goodies (Surfin' Santa, Mambo Santa, Mambo)!!!

This is one of my all time favorite x-mas CD's. It has all of the old 1950's classic songs with "Rockin Around The Christmas Tree" and "I'm Gonna Lasso Santa Claus" by Brenda Lee, "Merry Christmas Baby" by Chuck Berry, "Jingle Bell Rock" and many others. This is definitely one of those CD's you play at x-mas parties. My only complaint is that there are only 12 songs!
