We purchased this horse for our daughter who is 19 months old, after seeing how much fun she had on a friends. The picture looked good, so we got it.

The good news is the the horse is fluffly and friendly and looks like it will handle abuse. The sounds the horse makes are very good, and the song it plays is very catchy and will get in your head, in a good way.

The bad news is the rocker that the horse is attached to. It is plastic, which is just fine, but if you look at the pictures of the hourse you will see the nobs at the both ends of each rocker. These nobs prevent the horse from moving more than just a couple of inches up and down. If your kid is like ours, who is a handfull of energy and really physical, do not get this rocking horse. After using it twice, and getting mad each time that it wont rock like the other horses she has been on, it is now completly ignored. And because the rocker is made of hollow plastic, removing the rockers isnt really an option. If you have a kid who is more cautious, maybe this would work. But having a rocking horse that does not rock is not worth $50.

I originally wanted a rocking horse for a photo session with a western theme, bu when I saw this pony and the value I couldn't resist purchasing it for our 13 month old daughter. I purchased mine at Walmart online since it is not available in their stores. This pony comes assembled! Yahoo!

It is the perfect size for a toddler. Her feet just touch the floor when she is sitting on it. It doesn't rock wildly...it is just enough. The horse plays a songs "I'm a Little Pony" and it also neighs, makes the clip-clop sounds, says it loves to get its hair brushed and also says "Let's go for a ride!" The mouth moves, but not dramatically.

Parents can control the volume (just low or high) via a switch on the battery pack. The battery pack is in the pony's neck and securely tucked in there with a velcro closure.

The ONLY drawbacks: the pony's hair can easily be pulled out and gets all over the place and I wish it had a little saddle. Other than that I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this precious pony! While you're at it ~ go all out and get this adorable outfit: EIEIO Horse Girls Play Set

I purchased this horse for my 3 year old grandson. He is a little small for his age, but he looks gigantic standing next to this horse. The age range states up to 4 years old. But if a 4 year old could fit on this it would be amazing. The rockers are made from very cheap plastic and I don't think it will be long before it collapses. I would only recommend this product for very young children, maybe 1 - 1 1/2 years old.

I bought this for my 16-month-old granddaughter and gave it to her last night. She loves to climb on things and loves music/sounds, so it looked like a good gift. As soon as she got it and heard it singing and saw the mouth move, she squealed with delight. She didn't understand at first that it was a ride-on toy, and spent time dragging it around the house by the handles, presumably taking it for a walk. It didn't take long for her to figure out it was a ride-on and begin rocking and squeezing the ears. It is a GREAT size for kids that age. If it were any larger, it would be difficult to mount and she could get hurt falling off. I imagine this will only really work until she's 2 or so, but it's a delightful toy for a little one, especially when most other toys appropriate for that age seem very same-y. It's also quite soft, and the mane & tail are really fluffy.

Bought for our 2 year old, she loves it, although she has now started training for the 2014 rodeo circuit. I think she'll do well, she can sit on this bucking horse for a very long time. You heard it here first, the next national Rodeo champ will be 3 years old.

My daughter is 10 months old and LOVES this rocking horse! We still have to stay close when she's on it... she hasn't quite mastered getting on and off by herself. It has "stoppers" on the rocking legs so it doesn't tilt too much if she leans back or forward. It was SO EASY to assemble! 4 screws, that's all! I am so impressed with the quality of this pony for only $40. It is so soft, the mane and tail are well-made and don't seem to shed, the eyes are stitched on, and the battery back is securely hidden inside a velcro enclosure in the neck and consealed by the mane. My ONLY complaint is that there is no volume control and the sounds are a little loud, but at least they're cute and catchy and I don't mind listening to them because they make my daughter happy. (Edit: There IS a volume control on the battery pack!) This is going to be a favorite until she outgrows it!

**Edit- My daughter is now 14 months and she still loves her pony. She can get on and off by herself, now. She is 32 inches tall and her tiptoes barely reach the floor. This rocking horse has been put to the test. Highly recommended!

Poor quality...probably produced in China!
Holes were not drilled all the way through. Unable to assemble without manual modifications to the design.

The toy is pretty, but it was supposed to be assembled or at the very least have the screws to assemble it myself. It came in two pieces and no screws. Contacted Amazon, and they cannot send the screws, which by the way are very particular and hard to find. This is supposed to be a present and I have not been able to assemble the thing and give it to my friend. Not worth the hassle if they make such basic mistakes as not including the screws to assemble something that requires assembling. I am very dissapointed as I live outside of US and returning it would be more expensive than to buy a new one. I do not recommend at all.
