Not too much to say about this bag really. It's your standard no frills carry on. Proper dimensions to actually fit in the overhead bin on most aircraft, it's not expandable, the inside pockets are functional. nothing innovative, just the standard configuration you see on countless bags, it works.

3.0 out of 5 stars So-So Spinner, Wily Warranty
This "Zurich Collection" 20" carry-on spinner is decently constructed of passable material and rolls smoothly. The spinner's primary weakness is its zippers, which are cheap and don't travel as smoothly as they should. In fact, the zipper to the main compartment is plain difficult to open/close. And if any of the zippers break (as I suspect they eventually...

Not too much to say about this bag really. It's your standard no frills carry on. Proper dimensions to actually fit in the overhead bin on most aircraft, it's not expandable, the inside pockets are functional. nothing innovative, just the standard configuration you see on countless bags, it works.

My biggest gripe with this bag is the zippers - they feel VERY cheap. Not a great pleasure to use them, but they work... for now at least. I expect they won't last long. The rest of the bag does not have an outstanding feel of quality, but good enough to get the job done. It's the zippers I would expect to fail first.

Bottom line: If you travel 1-2 times a year, and you don't sling around and beat up your bags a lot, then this bag should work just fine for you, and last you for quite a few years. Especially as a carry on bag which won't have to deal with the baggage handlers. BUT if you travel 4-6 times a year, and use/abuse your bag quite a bit while traveling, then I would expect this bag to die within 18 months, maybe as little as 6 months...

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to handle, August 14, 2013

I've used this carry-on twice. It is light and the 4 wheels make it easy to maneuver. The extra pockets are great. The zippers are plastic but work fine. I good product for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect size. Perfect price, February 1, 2013

Purchased this suitcase in the deep purple color...LOVE it! Perfect size for the overhead compartment and actually has a nice amount of space. Also, it has a bunch of pockets which help when trying to pack lightly. Definitely a steal for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars light weight and good bag, December 12, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I just got this bag to use as a carry on for short trips. I think I may have been better off with the size smaller as this one is pretty roomy for a weekend-long trip. However, it is light weight, seems to be well made (only used it once), and it fits in the overhead bin space.

3.0 out of 5 stars So-So Spinner, Wily Warranty, December 8, 2013

This "Zurich Collection" 20" carry-on spinner is decently constructed of passable material and rolls smoothly. The spinner's primary weakness is its zippers, which are cheap and don't travel as smoothly as they should. In fact, the zipper to the main compartment is plain difficult to open/close. And if any of the zippers break (as I suspect they eventually will), beware of Rockland's so-called "5-Year Warranty." According to the information enclosed, you've got to send them $40.00 before they'll even tell you where to send your luggage for "warranty evaluation." That's right: $40.00 is just for the evaluation. Considering this spinner sometimes sells for around $55.00, the warranty is all but pointless. Minus one star for the subpar zippers, and another for marketing a misleading warranty.

This bag rolls easily in all directions, is sized exactly to match airline specifications for over-head storage, and has plenty of external pockets of various sizes so that you can organize efficiently. It is also priced very fairly and looks and feels as though it should last a long time. Zippers worked smoothy and the bag feels balanced and sturdy when you have to hoist it up to the overhead bin in a crowded plane. If you are looking for this type of carry on, this one appears to be a good value.

Great! We took this on a trip overseas, big enough and easily fits into the overhead of Any aircraft. The spinners are a must have not days for both pushing and pulling your luggage.

4.0 out of 5 stars Got two of these, May 11, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
One of the carryon's wheels did not work well. The other one is perfect. We only used them to get to the airport twice, so am concerned about quality of the spinner wheels. The bag itself is very room, zippers worked find. Pop up handle is a little wobbly but it worked well enough
