Rockler Roller Support with Universal Clamp

The photo is confusing because it shows two rollers on a work bench. In fact, my photo shows two on the miter box stand I made using a Jawhorse Rockwell RK9000 Jawhorse. And for a lot of applications like this, you need two. If you are building just a stand to be at the end of your table saw, you probably can get away with just one.

I bought these support clamps specifically for the miter box project. I considered a couple of the Rockler free standing units, Rockler Heavy-Duty Fliptop Roller Stand and Rockler Panel Support Attachment for Flip Top Roller Stand and the Triton multi stand. These seemed the best for me. Mostly because if you move the miter box stand, I can pick it up and the whole thing moves, and I don't have to move two more independent support stands. Now that could also be a reason to get those other stands as then they would be free to be positioned anywhere. I figure I can make a free standing support that I could clamp one of these rollers to if and when I need it.

On the support rollers themselves, they seem really well built but I haven't put the years of abuse/use I expect from my tools. I do take care of my stuff but as anyone who works with tools, things happen.

So remember you are only getting one roller for this price. Sometimes they go on sale (I got mine that way by sheer luck that they were on sale the day I needed them.) So watch for bargains.

The Rockler Roller Support with Universal Clamp is great but i have only one complaint, that the photo in the discription and the picture on the box when ordering shows two rollers but you get only one, you think your getting a great deal on two but your only getting one.

These are a 'must have' if you are doing anything that requires rolling support of stock --or rigid, when necessary I clamp the roller --use wood blocks for this so you don't damage the roller. I use these with both wood stock and steel, and anything in between that needs support in odd places or lengths. They live up to the name (I've yet to find a Rockler product I didn't like).

this is not a weak light weight product. clamps to my work table and it is like having another pair of hands while ripping.

I use this roller with my compound miter saw. It mounts and adjusts easily.

No more beveled cuts. I love it.
