This is a nice stool, I like the design having the support posts in the center rather than
near the outer edge of the cushion. It swivels and your feet have plenty of clearance. It was easy to assemble and looks good. Rockler shipped it very quickly.

The quality is better than most, and the pricing was reasonable. It's not the ultimate shop chair, but good enough until we can find better. It's stable, good looking and easy to assemble.
A better chair would have a back, could be taller, could have wheels, some how collapse / fold for storage, and the seat turns but is very stiff.

I was looking for an inexpensive shop stool to play my guitar on and afterward looking at the other stools on Amazon elected to get the Rockler. Rockler is known for their woodworking tools so I thought this would be a high quality as tool at a reasonable price. The description is almost accurate. It looks like it has a big cushy seat. What the ad doesn't tell you is that the seat only has a 3/4" cushion. So I figured, okay I can live with it. Then I was sitting in the garage playing my guitar and leaned one way a bit and I felt something give in the seat. So I carefully took the seat apart by removing the staples and found out that it was made of two 3/4" pieces of chip board with 4 chip board risers to give it that big fat thick look. I'm 6 1 and weigh 190. Since my legs were obviously positioned inbetween the risers the platform would not support me.
The dilemma was to either A. Send it back and get another potential sub optimal stool or B. Correct the problem. Option B it was. I cut a scrap piece of 3/4" plywood and drilled the same hole pattern from the original chip board base, spent $12.00 at Joann's for a 4" piece of high density foam. Cut the foam in a circle to match the plywood on the band saw and reassembled the seat with staples. Now and works great and i could sit on it for hours. The other thing I did was cut off 4" off the legs with a pipe cutter as I found that 29" was a bit high for me. It's now a really good guitar stool that I can sit on for hours.

Good buy for an inexpensive shop stool... seat seems to be better supported than some others we've used in the past. Our shop services power tools and the technicians need to be seated most of the time at their workbenches. We've gone through many, some were freebees, supplied by vendors. Others were purchased from different sources,
