The Rockport Carson men's casual shoe is great for the office or a night out on the town. The full-grain waterproof leather upper and Hydro-Shield construction help keep your foot dry during inclement weather. For lightweight mid-foot support, the shoe features a fiberlon shank, which is also airport security friendly. The forefoot pad provides additional underfoot cushioning and the rubberized EVA sole delivers durable shock absorbency.

This pair is comfortable and fits well. The sole maybe a bit slippery when walking on wet surface(unless it's oily too), but the reality is it grips the surface fine. The shape is also well thought out unlike other shoe manufacturer where the shape of the shoe is sometimes uneven. Can be worn casually or with an office suit. Not for dinner though. This shoe holds well on its own with more expensive shoes out there.

A couple of reviewers said these were stiff, they were for a few days. This is because the leather is waterfproof. That is listed in the item description. I have had to shovel a lot of snow in these and they perform beautifully for not getting soaked or stained by the salty snow.

If you understand these are a waterproof leather and are a little stiffer than the average rockport, you will probably love them as I do. I am on my feet about six hours a day and would buy another pair in a heartbeat.

it's not well constructed. The material on the upper shoes is of poor quality. I bought this pair due to Rockport brand but is disappointed with this product. Hardly ever wear it now.
