Never Thought Nirvana Could Sound Celestial Until Now, December 20, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: On the Rocks (Audio CD)
I've always been a fan of popular songs covered by acapella groups (pardon the probable incorrect spelling) or choirs. As I browsed for holiday gifts the record shop had this album playing. Needless to say I bought it. The songs are covered beautifully, although not perfect each one is refreshing and is incorporated beautifully with the piano. They manage to keep the same melody as the originals. It's entertaining for any age, younger people will find it as a refreshing variation to many favorites while they lie stupified by the fact their parents enjoy it too. My personal favorites are "Every Breath You Take" and "Creep". Just buy it and enjoy.

Scala puts together an amazing performance. (Led by the two brothers Stijn and Steven Kolacny) This album is better than ice cream good, from start to finish. The choir renditions of these rockers are beauties. "Life on Mars" and "Let Her Down Easy" are tops.
There are some technical difficulties with the live hall recording. But that is par for the course. Buy and enjoy this unique music experience.
