Shane Bernard and Shane Everett by far produce the best music I have ever heard. Like another person here, I first found out about them at camp (crosscamp) two years ago. Since then they have joined with the preacher of the camp and began the 'waiting room' ministries. It just so happens, that the preacher is my favorite, as his insight and approach is unique and raw.But back to this cd. I have heard no music like it. Most christian music, like one review already mentioned, tries to imitate secular music too much. I listen to this music and I don't feel 'music industry' like I do with most christian music. I feel the joy, hope, and the beauty of God. The acoustics here are brilliant, with *amazing* rythms and harmonies. The vocals are equally amazing in their range and harmony. They are icing on the cake of this beautiful music. The lyrics are genuine, original songs of worship. And the songs with the violin are just as beautifully aranged. This is a MUST have for any Christian. I recommend their album 'Psalms' just as much as this one. The fact that they sing actual psalms (not all the tracks, just 7 or 8 out of like 15) is just so enriching and genuine. My best musical purchase ever (well, tied with the Psalms album)

Powerful lyrics and vocals, HOT Acoustic Christian sound!,

I'm not one to judge an artist's skill by comparison of another artist, but in Shane Barnard's case, he's worth it. If you will, a blend of the creative Dave Matthews on acoustic guitar meshed in with the smooth harmony from Edwin McCain --- saturated with the lyrics from Shane that could only be Spirit-filled. This CD is intense! It masterfully places the words and music together to create a convicting record. Nice work Shane!

My friend introduced me to Shane Barnard yesterday, and what an impact this man has already had on me. I've always felt Christian music often falls behind secular music, but not here. This guy is amazing. He has an aggressive accoustic sound that, for me, is very reminiscent of Ani DiFranco. As far as other Christian bands go Jennifer Knapp is probably the closest thing, with Caedmon's Call falling close behind. I highly recomend this album to any Christian looking for cutting edge music, and ON A WORSHIP CD, who would have thought.

I am an avid fan of the acoustic worship, Darrell Evans-esque type sound, and I have never heard a more passionate and intimate worship experience captured in such a fashion. Shane Barnard sings and plays incredibly, but this CD is more than just talent - the presence of God is all over it. My personal favorites are "Prodigal Me," "Breath of God," and "Psalm 145." There is no way possible you could regret buying this.

If you like Christian pop/rock or praise music, this is a must. These are the kind of songs that inspire& uplift both lyrically and musically. Excellent vocals & harmonies, OUTSTANDING acoustic guitar work, and a heartfelt sound that gives me chills whenever I listen. I had the opportunity to hear Shane live in Dallas and it was awesome.

How does one rate such a genuine love for God? I stumbled across this CD a couple of days ago by chance or perhaps by the grace of God. Rocks Won't Cry is a wonderful collection of honest cries of praise to God from a young heart. It's acoustic worship at it's best - humble and inspiring. Thank you Shane!

I was amazed when reading Shane's history of the album - he was only in his early 20s. These songs are deep and well thought out. The harmonies are beautiful. This album is quite inspirational and was a great beginning for Shane Barnard. The audio quality is not the best, though, which is why it got 4 stars, but the songs are so great it doesn't really matter.
