1.0 out of 5 stars DOSEN'T SHOW FULL VIDEOS, March 29, 2003

This review is from: Rockthology Presents Hard 'N Heavy, Vol. 5 (DVD)
I bought this DVD thinking it would be cool to see some videos of bands you dont hear alot about anymore. I started with the Anthrax section. It started with a video from State Of Euphoria. ten seconds into the music it stops, cuts into an old interview of the band talking about odd jobs they had before they made it "big". I thought maybe this was just an introduction to the band section and the next video would be uninterrupted. I was wrong. Every video on this video gets cut to interviews at least three times on each video. This DVD would have been good if they had shown the interviews either in between the videos or had a section on the DVD for them. It's a shame because Image Entertainment has some really good music video and concert DVD's. I can not recommend this junk to anyone, and would have given it zero stars if I could. I returned the DVD to the store I bought it at and exchanged it for Queen's Greatest Video Hits Vol. 1, which I can highly recommend.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE ROCKTHOLOGY SERIES

I bought this video because I belived it had a lot of information concerning the bands in it even it was somewhat akcward to find THIN LIZZY in the list I belived the rest of the bands had a common ground. Its just like some other customer wrote they cut the videos and put some interview(piece of it)and they dont either play the whole damn video neither the whole damn interviews,so whats the point? And to make things worse they cut the TESTAMENT interview and it basically doesn`t have the end,so you are gonig to basically watch a DVD that just cuts the ending. But if youre stuborn and feel the need to see for your self,go ahead and be my guess.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for you if you are looking for *un-interrupted* videos, March 15, 2006
This review is from: Rockthology Presents Hard 'N Heavy, Vol. 5 (DVD)
I don't know what it is about people who produce these compilations. They seem to be convinced that us video music fans simply prefer to have people TALKING ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE VIDEOS!
I've got an idea, how about a separate section on the disc for interviews??? - Ya think these discs might actually sell???
I bought this thinking the interviews were separate from the videos and for about 6.00 used, how could anyone go wrong?
In short, if you are looking for the actual, complete, *un-interrupted* videos (or interviews) from these artists, save your money.
AMAZON - PLEASE TAKE GREATER TIME IN MAKING THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN "VIDEO COMPILATION" AND "VIDEO DOCUMENTARY" - After buying 10 volumes in one swoop based on an incomplete description - IT COULDA SAVED ME A LOT OF MONEY!!!!
