Product Description

Product Description

The Jawhorse Welding Station is designed to work with the Jawhorse Work Station (Item# 253800; sold separately) or Jawhorse Sheetmaster (Item# 23049; sold separately) as a second pair of hands to hold items while welding. Fully adjustable holding arms position the workpiece at any angle. Cast aluminum jaws allow for maximum conductivity. Extra-deep V-grooves hold pipe securely, and front and rear ground lead bosses insure perfect, no-fuss connection.

From the Manufacturer

The Welding Station helps hold items while welding them together. Thick aluminum jaws hold the main piece, while the fully adjustable holding arm positions the second piece at any angle desired for welding. The welding station (RK9100) is an add-on accessory for the Rockwell Jawhorse. Both items are sold separately.

I don't weld, but I do a lot of handyman chores and don't always have a helper. So I bought first the Rockwell RK9000 Jawhorse, which I really love. Then the Rockwell Jawhorse RK9109 Plywood Jaw Accessory Attachment (for really wide stuff), and the log jaws Rockwell Jawhorse RK9101 Log Jaw Accessory Attachment(for use in cutting up that firewood out back.) I debated about this attachment because of the "I don't weld" issue, but the more I thought about it, and used my Jawhorse, the more I wanted yet another clamp to hold things to the thing that is in the Jawhorse main clamp. That's what this gizmo does really well. In addition, if you can't get the Jawhorse in position to clamp the main thing, you can swivel this clamp arm around and use it instead.

Where is this useful? Anywhere you need something to be clamped that will be held up off the floor or table, and possibly clamped in two places (the Jawhorse main clamp and this "C" clamp.)

The other benefit is that this unit comes with some basic aluminum replacement jaws for the rubber pads. You have to remove the rubber pads, because of course if you were welding you'd melt them. But it's pretty fast, just don't lose the screws holding the rubber pads for when you want to switch back.

The jaws are not solid, but I think they'll be ok, they have a lot of reinforcement bracing behind them that is cast into the jaw.

I just receive it and I had a chance to use it to cut some 2 inch square tubing. It works great and I'm happy with it.
Is a little heavier than I expected. But it does folds small enough for easy transport or storage.
I knew the accessories were extra but I'm kinda disapointed that Sears sells the Welding Station $20 dollars cheaper (too bad they are out of stock)
I would like to buy it from here but I'm considering waiting for Sears to get additional stock since the price difference is almost a third.
Other than that, I'm happy with it.

As all things made by Rockwell this is a sturdy attachment. It is easy to mount and seems to do every thing I want it to. It is easy to adjust and makes one person welding a lot easier. It seems to be made for holding lighter material, but have not found anything that will match it. I would definetly buy it again.

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. It took him a while to use it but after seeing what it can do. He enjoys using it. Works just like they say. I even got him the welding attachment. He keeps saying he needs an extra hand so I got him that extra hand.

Great product and wish I had this tool years ago. Just like having another person helping except it a lot quieter. Ha. I would recommend this tool to any one who welds at home or a shop. Thanks

This attachment consists of two parts. There are aluminum jaws that fit to the jawhorse, and there is a black steel clamping contraption that slides over the back of the vice. The aluminum jaws contained in this attachment make the jawhorse so much nicer to use, with or without the welding device. I leave the jaws on the jawhorse all the time. The welding attachment is really handy, making it possible to hold the work steady and securely at the best angle. The jawhorse itself is heavy and awkward to move around and set up, but it's a great tool once in place. This welding attachment's jaws should come with the base jawhorse - it's so much better with the jaws. The welding attachment (the black steel part) itself is good if you are welding, fabricating pipe or brackets, or the like. All in all, this accessory is worthwhile.

Not much to say except that it is well built and does exactly what it looks like it does when attached to the Rockwell Jawhorse. My only beef is that you need to remove the plastic jaws to install the metal jaws for the simple reason that the thumbscrews are not long enough to allow the metal jaws to fit over the plastic ones. I solved this with longer thumbscrews but they should have been included. (If you were doing a lot of welding then you would want to remove the plastic jaws from underneath as they might get too hot and melt but for a quick job that would be unnecessary).

The Jawhorse itself is great. The welding attachment is truly a great addition. I recently needed to weld some pipe sections onto plate to make some sign stands for a school. Not a hard job. Usually I'd use 90 degree magnets to hold the setup while I tacked them on. With this tool I got the first one set up and then by leaving the bar that holds the clamp in place was able to do nearly perfect repeat set ups. Turned it into a production job.
