The miter saw work station holds the saw (we have a 10" ridgid miter saw that weighs 34 pounds) solidly. For what we use it for however, it would have been cheaper to use a piece of 5/8" plywood and bolt the saw to that. Then bolt a couple 6-8 inch long pieces of 2" angle iron under the plywood to clamp the jawhorse to. Also, the Rockwell ads do not mention that some major parts shown in their ads are NOT included. In particular the long (2x4) board that the rollers bolt too is not included with the miter station. Also the wooden (2x4) legs that clamp to the above long board and provide support from the ground (if a REALLY long board is used) are not included.

Buy the plywood jaw & Rockler rollers instead,

I took Jerry W's advice and built my own miter station. The best deal is to buy the Rockwell Jawhorse RK9109 Plywood Jaw Accessory Attachment and two Rockler Roller Support with Universal Clamps and about a foot of 2x2 or 3x3 angle iron. It costs a little more to buy these things than to buy this kit, but you get the plywood jaw which if you don't have it, you'll wish you did when you go to clamp something big.
Pros: This kit comes with a table and two rollers and two support clamps for bracing a long 2x4. Which even without mounting a miter saw on makes the Rockwell RK9000 Jawhorse into a small workbench. Cons: The rollers are built a lot cheaper than the Rockler ones. The Rockler rollers are needle bearing and stainless steel. These are plastic tubes on a spindle. Also the Rockler rollers can be used on your work bench easier as the clamps that come with them are more versatile. If your miter saw is really heavy with the build your own kit, you may want two pieces of angle iron under the plywood table and put a block of wood between them to give yourself a bigger thing to clamp.

The jawhorse is a very solid piece of equipment. The miter saw station is junk-lots of plastic, hand hole for the saw panel's on the wrong side, metal structure under the saw table eats your leg up if you're carrying the saw with one hand. I am a professional carpenter and was looking for something that wouldn't take up so much room in the truck. I currently have my 12" saw mounted to a wheeled Ridgid saw stand. Stand is great but takes up a lot of room in the back of the Tacoma. Wanted something to use when I didn't have a lot of trim to do and this isn't it. Anybody with any shop skill could top this effort with about $40 in materials and an hour or so to fabricate.
Don't be misled by the picture the guy put in there with his hand miter saw mounted to it. He bought some good rollers from Rockler and did it right. Too bad Rockwell went cheap on this. Amazon, you need to add a category for equipment that's not defective but not well made either. Your sellers need to stop putting this kind of stuff out there. Rockwell-upgrade the components and charge another $15 or so. This is rather disappointing.

I didn't have the time to build my own miter saw table nor did I want to. So, I spent the money to purchase this item. Like, Jerry Wiggins mentioned you can build your own table. I just wanted to order it, have it arrived in good shape, mount my miter saw to it and be done with it!
So far, it has worked out that way. Honestly, I just like the fact that I could finally get my miter saw off of my desk (where it was taken up valuable space) and give it portability. I can store my miter saw & the station out of the way. Overall, I like that I made the purchase.

Good Accessory,

The Miter Saw Station doesn't compare to a good dedicated miter saw station, but would certainly do the job in a pinch. Hardware (connectors and work support rollers) for outriggers is supplied. You supply 2X4's.
The Miter Saw Station (without a saw attached) also makes a pretty fair work table. It has a very substantial metal frame underneath. You clamp this frame in the JawHorse jaws. It's built to take all of the pressure the JawHorse can supply, so there is no worry about the table shifting in the jaws if you use it to support something heavy. The table itself is 5/8" thick. I believe it's plywood with a laminate top. It would be easy to apply a new table to the frame, or attach a sacrificial top over the existing table if you need to.

Reasonable utility when obtained at the discounted price,

I have had a Rockwell Jawhorse for over a year and have found it to be a sturdy and useful product. I purchase the plywood accessory when I bought the Jawhorse, but held off on the other accessories. However, I recently decided to add the miter saw station to my tool kit when it became available at a substantial discount. This product is exactly what you see on the product page - a modest work platform attached with four screws to a metal base. The platform appears to be laminated engineered wood of some type (nothing fancy). It is finished with a plastic edge and is not pre-drilled for a miter box. It occurs to me that you could remove this platform from the metal base and attach all sorts of custom work areas to it. Of course, if you are going that far, then you could also just use some angle iron and build your own miter box accessory, as described by others. The metal base clamps easily and securely in the Jawhorse and the miter box kit includes two rollers and two outrigger support attachments to set up a 2x4 beam to help with longer stock. These are the same outrigger attachments that come with the plywood accessory.
I chose not to purchase this product near full retail when I bought the Jawhorse a year ago. However, when I found it heavily discounted on Amazon, I decided that the cost merited the convenience. Now I don't have to clean off a worktable in my garage to make room for a few quick cuts on the miter box. It is also easily portable to set up in the yard or another location. As long as you have reasonable expectations, then this product shouldn't disappoint. If you want something more, then you should probably consider a dedicated miter box stand.

Nice concept...but proved too unstable for bigger saws.,

Easy to setup, and the feed rollers are handy; but even adequate bracing was not capable of handling the size and/or weight of my bigger miter saw. To be fair: I was trying to use my Milwaukee 12" dual-bevel slider...with a curb-weight of abt. 80#'s. I have a 10" backup saw that fit well enough. Although I thought of it to be a good idea when I ordered it. It makes a great workstation for using smaller tools. As for it being sold as a miter saw stand...I would advise against it. I have one Jhorse, as well as a pair of Rockwell JawStand RK9033. I found that making a "knockdow table"out of a few sticks of 2x4 screwed together not only worked well, they hepled me find a more versatile and flexible way to use them to better fit the job. Before I bought the Miter Saw Table attachment; I looked at everything else relative, and this seemed to be the answer (especially without having to spend more on the station than the chopper), but I believe that a re-branding of it as an "All-Purpose Work Table" would be prudent.

I used the miter saw table and roller accessories for cutting lamenate flooring and found it to be very helpful. It's a bit pricy but if it makes the job safer, it's worth it. It also makes set up easy with the adjustable rollers.

Very worth while add-on! It's not as good as, say, a Port-a-Mate; but, definitely a quality item.

Love my Jawhorse and all the accessories I picked up just yesterday. For those of you who can make it, check Lowes for the miter saw table and plywood attachment. Bought yesterday at Lowes for $18.99 and $29.99 respectively. No joke. They've raised the plywood attachment already but the miter table still $18.99. Some of their store's even have it for $15.99. Jawhorse at $159 too. That's just nuts. Someone asleep at the switch I guess. I'm currently looking for the next deal. Good luck
