The Rockwell BladeRunner efficiently and safely cuts through wood, metal, plastic, ceramic tile, and more (view larger).
Precise Cuts Need Two Hands
Stop wasting time and materials by messing up cuts because you have one hand holding the saw and your other hand steadying the board. The BladeRunner allows you to hold the material in with both hands to ensure a proper and precise cut. Not only will you make the correct cut the first time, but it’s also much safer for you and your fingers. Additionally, its variable-speed control allows for more power for rip cuts—or you can slow down the speed for more precise cuts.

Change Blades in Seconds
Normally you would need multiple saws to perform rip cuts or scroll cuts, but not with the BladeRunner, which comes with five different T-shank blades to make different cuts in multiple materials. Changing these blades only takes three seconds and requires no tools. Now you can go from cutting ceramic tile for your bathroom to cutting wood for your yard’s birdhouse in no time at all.

Quick-Mounting and Portable Design
The BladeRunner’s lightweight construction (it weighs only 13.2 pounds) and built-in carrying handle make it easily transportable around your workshop or on the job site, while its durable stainless-steel table construction ensures that the tool has a long lifespan. Plus, its space-saving wall mount attaches to the wall, so it doesn’t take up valuable real estate in your garage or workshop. Rubber stabilizing pads cover the feet of the BladeRunner to protect your work space. Its 5.5-amp motor powers the compact machine to make a variety of cuts in a multitude of materials, reducing the need for bulky workbenches or multiple tools and making your work much more efficient. Lastly, it comes equipped with a dust-hose connection; just attach your vacuum to elminiate clean-up.

Precision Cutting Accessories Included
For the ultimate woodworker, this BladeRunner kit includes a circle cutter template and a picture frame cutting guide. With the included RW9261 circle cutter guide, you can form and cut perfect circles up to an exact diameter up to 18 inches. The circle cutter has an easy-to-read scale for precise adjustment and is quick to securely mount on the BladeRunner. The included RW9262 picture frame cutter helps you cut perfectly mitered corners to make picture frames of any size up to 26 inches. It also has the ability to cut the frame to match a pre-existing mat or glass insert. It has an easy-to-read scale for precise measurements and cuts. The tool-free mounting makes cutting frames as quick and easy as a professional. These included cutting accessories further expand the versatility of the BladeRunner. Also includes RK7321 wall mount.

This is basically a Jig Saw upside down. Use the correct blade for the material you are cutting and don't force the material into the saw blade faster than it can cut. If the material starts bouncing up and down that is a good indication you are feeding the material too fast. This saw only cuts on the down-stroke.
Extra blades can be found at almost any home hardware store. Watching the Demo DVD that came with the product you can see where he is overfeeding the material into the blade (probably a time constraint on making the video) and the wood starts bouncing. On hardwood (Oak, etc.) you are going to have to go slow, this isn't a circular saw so don't expect it to make super fast cuts.
Product arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. I use this to cut material 1" or less. It will cut much thicker material but my intent with this tool was for smaller items that are either to thin or small to feed safely through the table saw.

Do not expect to make cabinets with this saw.
It is not a precision tool!

For general non-critical cuts on small projects this works well.

Can cut PVC pipe fairly straight, but this is not a precision tool!!

It's simply a recipricating saw mounted upside down to a table.
It does work as advertised. You can make circles with it.
DO not plan on cutting anything over 2 inches thick.
The blade will tilt some and the cut will not be a tad crooked even though it seemed to have gone straight. The cut itself will be at an angle not 90 degrees.

Thinner items work best.
This is a tool for hobbiests, not professionals.

I bought this device as a substitute for a metal cutting bandsaw, which I cannot afford, and for its relative protability....I had planned on actually building a similar tool by adapting my jigsaw, but this purchase saved me time and trouble.....it cuts aluminum and plastic just fine....got it mostly for cutting aluminum for making parts for my motorcycles and have used at for construction of projects for demonstrations in my science class....stores easily in a lab cabinet out of the way.....overall, very satisfied with the purchase.

Excellent little saw for small jobs and making fine cuts. Definitely not for cutting 2 X 4s and such. I have used it for several small projects such as cabinet trim and picture frames. It works great. You just have to take your time.

Viewed the commercial videos and decided to give this saw a try. Well, as others have already indicated; it doesn't do anywhere near as well as shown on the video. Cuts are seldom square nor straight with one exception; I can get a straight cut using The Bosch T-Shank F101A0 jigsaw blade (limitation is the length, 3"). It doesn't jump even when cutting 3/4" plywood. It is not as nice a cut as a table saw but for simple projects it will work fine. The other blades seem to cause more jumping/bouncing requiring more force when holding the piece and for some cuts kind of dangerous and the result is seldom straight. I am keeping this unit because using the aforementioned blade it will work well enough for me. If you are a cabinet maker this saw is not for you. Also, the dust collection doesn't work that well. With my shop-vac attached to it I still have quite a bit of sawdust on the table surface mainly because of the small size of the hose but it is better than nothing. I haven't tried cutting anything other than wood................

Great saw for hobbies and crafts. I build models out of basswood for my grand children and this saw is perfect for cutting the pieces (typically from 0.25 inch thick sheet). I mounted it to a table in my workshop, hooked up a small vacuum to it and went to work. I have cut up to 1 inch thick wood (pine I think) with no problems - just a bit slower than thinner wood. I have also cut balsa wood down to 0.0625 inches thick as well as 0.25 inch diameter aluminum rod (with a different blade of course) without problem. As usual, delivery from Amazon was as promised. I did purchase the kit that includes the circle cutting tool and framing tool but have not had a chance to use them yet.

I have a fairly well equipped home woodworking shop but of late have seen the need for a tool that will allow me to cut small pieces (2 X 2 inch squares)from small wood scraps. I have two table saws but was not enamored of the idea of getting my fingers close to the blade and push sticks weren't much help either. The scroll saw won't cut a straight line, the band saw is "iffy," and the miter saw is as dangerous as the table saw when cutting small pieces...enter the Bladerunner. Perfect solution to my problem. It not only does what the advertising geeks said it would do, it also offers lightweight portability and you can even mount it on a wall without having to buy any special material because it all comes with the saw. While I can see where this saw might slow down a bit with thicker, harder woods, it zips right through the 1/4 inch plywood I've been using and also shows no effort with half to three quarter inch pine, poplar and birch. The frame cutter works as advertised and I have yet to try the circle cutting jig. This is one of those tools everyone needs, most just don't know it yet. You should get one if for no other reason that it might help you keep your fingers. I love it.
