I have had 3 RMR units now 2 of which I still use. Let me tell you they have saved my back side several times. They work great and give you plenty of time to slow down before you reach the punch through zone. I have never gotten a speeding ticket since I started useing these jammers. The only reason I have bought 3 is bacause the radar types change. Our town just installed photo radar and my old one didn't pick it up this new one does.

This detector works great. Warning starts way before any visual can be seen. Some people say the sound is not adequate....it seems to fine with us. No problems so far.

I can't tell you how many tickets this has saved me from. When you drive a fast car and stand out of the normal cars, it's a great thing to have. The only down fall is trying to reach over to switch it to city mode so the automatic doors in stores doesn't set it off, so I just unplug it till it's time to hop back on the highway.

RMR K.A.T. 500, Not loud enough. If radio is on you can`t hear it.Wouldn`t buy another one.

I have always been interested in buying a radar detector, but I always thought it was a scam. Turns out, at least this one is. After a couple months use, I have passed multiple speed traps while it stayed silent. It normally goes off around the same places, indicating that a store is tripping it. It went off exactly once when coming across a cop. Save your money.

I was a bit skeptical that the Rocky Mountain KAT-500 would do the job with such a low purchase price. A friend has a $250 COBRA which I borrowed and it warned me in time to avoid a ticket. Well so did the KAT-500, it was quite impressive for the price and compared favorably to the COBRA. I would definitely recommend the KAT.

I bought this radar detector on a spontaneous buy. It was dirt cheap and it even feels cheap to the touch. However, I tell you what... you can't beat the performance of this radar detector at this price point. It has saved us more than enough to cover what we paid for it and then some. I recommend this radar detector to all.

For the price it's worth it, but if you want better. I suggest paying for a higher end model they make.

I purchased unit for my teenage son unit works well he leaves in highway mode for sensitivety i would recommend this product for the price works better than same priced cobra.was driving when unit went off warning i did not see police unit kept getting stronger car was on side street and picked up police unit impressed as with any unit first test it until you are familiar and comfotable with it small light plastic enjoy!!
