Book Description

September 1, 1993 0966157206 978-0966157208
This book includes twenty patterns for novelty snowflakes. Pages are easily torn out, folded and cut. The book is printed on very fine, very white paper for the most delicate flakes. All you need is this book and a pair of scissors. Patterns include: angles, butterflies, candles, bells, snowmen, Santa, reindeer, ballerinas, stars, branches, snow birds, the ice queen, unicorns and the Santa Fe. Five pages have been left blank for those who like to create their own designs. This book has delighted snowflake lovers of all ages since 1993. Once the snowflakes are cut they can be used to decorate windows, packages, table settings, doors, trees, ceilings and on and on. With snowflakes, the sky is the limit.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

Taken by permission from: "Snowflake Designer Makes Cut", By Nancy Loftholm, Denver Post, 12/28/98.

"She(Bonzek) started making the flakes just for fun and as an activity for her students until secretaries at Fruita Monument High School started hanging them in their windows and urged her to put her designs into a book...."

"Her books are being snapped up and snipped apart by both young and old...."

"'They have broad appeal for young kids, and I've had moms say their 14- and 15-year-olds are cutting them out,' said Janie Van Winkle, manager fo the Barnes & Noble store in Grand Junction...."

"So is Grand Junction psychiatrist Dr. Bob Sammoms. '"I bought six. They're absolutely delightful," Sammoms said. "I grew up cutting snowflakes with triangles and diamonds, but these designs are amazing. When you open them up , it's almost like magic."'

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocky Mountain Snowflakes by Debra Bangert Bonzek, January 5, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Rocky Mountain Snowflakes (Paperback)
A great book to interact with children. It is such fun to cut a snowflake that has such unique patterns in them and they all have six points like snowflakes, not one of them is square. I can't wait to try the second book.

5.0 out of 5 stars No two alike, December 7, 2009
This review is from: Rocky Mountain Snowflakes (Paperback)
There are several snowflake books out there, but I think this one definitely stands out from the rest. Especially appealing about these designs is the fact that most have a recognizable theme (like snowmen, or angels, or birds, etc.) and, like real snowflakes, no two are alike.
