The hole punch is not the easiest to use, but that also depends on how thick your individual solar cover is. Overall the strap kit is very durable and has lasted me through 4 different solar covers. I'm very impressed that it has outlasted the solar covers and I have yet to replace it. I have been told by another home owner that they purchased a generic brand and that theirs only lasted a year. When they removed the solar cover from the attachments (strap kit), it fell apart. I would recommend this brand. I also purchased the Rocky's brand reel and am impressed with it as well.

Ordered this strap kit along with a new 20x40 solar pool cover. Pool cover arrived four days before the strap kit so installation had to wait. Advertising said product came with "hole punch" which was not received and "detailed instructions" which was a poor one page copy totally worthless. The vinyl straps are thin and weak and can't be adjusted, also needed about 3 more feet than they shipped. If i hadn't installed 5 other covers i would have been lost as nothing in instructions mentioned how important it is in placing the straps and ensuring the exact length. If these are wrong you are doomed to a bad roll-up experience.
