My vertical blinds didn't block enough light or offer enough privacy so I got blackout curtains... but the blinds stuck out too far. These brackets are totally adjustable and brought the curtains out enough to clear the blinds but not extend so far as to shrink the already small room.

Bought these to just add support to a curtain rod, they work great and were easy to install. Great product for not a ton of money!

Ordered these to use with 3/4 inch, 72 inch long metal rods and drapes of medium weight. The brackets were screwed into a stud but still looked like the screws were going to pull right out. My husband had to buy pieces of metal and make 45 degree supports (screwed to the bracket and to the wall) to provide adequate support for the rods. Unless you are willing to modify this hardware the way we did, the only curtains I would trust this bracket to support would be light sheers. Might work ok on for a 40 inch rod.
