Rodale's Book of Practical Formulas, February 27, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Rodale's Book of Practical Formulas (Hardcover)
Very informative, with many basic ingredients readily available at stores. Sections covered on car care, cooking (good basic recipes), gardening, beauty, health, home repair and remodeling, housekeeping, crafts, pet care (with pet food recipes), and outdoor life. If you are interested in going to natural products for cleaning, etc., this is a good reference book. I enjoyed perusing all 450-some-odd pages in one evening. A real "Tightwad Gazette" type book.

Full of useful formulas., November 30, 2001
This review is from: Rodale's Book of Practical Formulas (Hardcover)
This book is the type that you refer to for cleaning ideas first, before you try something with lots of chemicals. There are basic recipes in here for cooking, cleaning and insect control. There are recipes for herbal cold cures, car care and more. This is a very useful book. I refer to it quiet a bit before I run out and try to buy something to control ants, clean my carpet or fight a cold.
