Emperors of Chocolate,
By Xhoana Xheneti (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Luis Rodriguez (Contemporary Biographies) (Paperback)
In the book, the Emperors of Chocolate, by Joel Glenn Brenner, the author shares her intimate interviews with countless executives and factory workers of the biggest candy companies of the world. She gives us a look into the humble beginnings of Milton Hershey and Forest Mars Sr. The emperors of the chocolate empires of Hershey and Mars. Brenner also gives us the delicious details of their first product on some of which their was collaboration, and the devilishly tasty "Chocolate Wars" in which the candy giants competed for the U.S. market like chocoholics would for chocolate. This book is definitely "nutritious" with amazing and neurotic characters and intriguing stories that will keep you wanting more. I would definitely give it a two thumbs up!
