Foaming Root Killer is a new patented product which foams on contact with water to fill the entire pipe line with the root killing agent dichlobenil. Foaming Root Killer is recommended for severe recurring root problems.

Product Description

Foaming Root Killer contains Dichlobenil which kills the roots and prevents new growth. New root growths from outside the pipe joints are retarded or inhibited when they come in contact with the Dichlobenil inside the pipe. Foaming Root Killer self foams on contact with water. The foam acts as a carrying agent, putting the active ingredient in contact with the tree roots above the flow. Easy to use. This is an economical solution to a potentially, very costly problem.

We were having trouble with roots in our main sewer. We had water backing up into the basement laundry room whenever we took a shower. The city came out to clear the lines, and we hired plumbers to come out also to clear the lines. Every 6 months it seems the roots returned. I ordered this product to just see what it would do. I use 2 bottles down the toilet every six months for the past 2 years, and I have not had to call a plumber or get the wet vac out since.

It is nice when a product just does what it says.

I am a very satisfied customer.

Had our pipe scoped out to the main - some root penetration was visible at the seams - hopefully this product is keeping them back - so far, so good...

Note - you need to get this stuff out of the container in one shot, as it starts foaming immediately, so make sure it's not clumped up before you try to empty it.

We have tree roots in our sewer line, in the middle of the city street. Not exactly the best of situations. After years of constantly having to "regularly" pay to have the roots cut out, and trying all sorts of root kill products, I finally found this on Amazon. The foaming action is the key. It fills the entire sewer line, including the top, where many roots invade...... result, it kills them. I use it about once a year, and have had no problems for quite a while now. Highly recommended.
