Fun Cartridge with Limitations, March 30, 2007

This review is from: Roger Clemens MVP Baseball (Video Game)
This game had a pretty good playability factor to it. The pitching and fielding were actually quite good and the graphics, for their time, were more than acceptable. The game actually allows for a nice 'feel' to the pitching, hitting and fielding with a fair bit of player control that actually makes you feel like you are out there on the field.
There are, of course, some major limitations. You can't seem to bunt for a base hit. Throws are all 'laser light' (straight and right on the bag, with almost no throwing errors -- unless you throw to the wrong base) and the second baseman just stands there on balls hit up the middle. Stealing bases is difficult. No real major league player names or teams here, although the nicknames and stats give it away, if you look closely.
Still, for its time (early to mid 90s) it was a pretty good cartridge. Amazing how little they sell for on here now.
