Nice enough and an inexpensive set to start a collection,

This import all inclusive box set of Roger's CD's and the one DVD reminds me greatly of a similar Sony set that came out earlier this year for Bruce Springsteen. While it does appear to cover all his solo recorded material, there isn't any bonus or extra material here. This is simply a basic reissuing of the solo albums, in fact with almost not a single ounce of extras.
The CD's each come in pretty simple sleeves, without separate liner notes, but there is a small booklet that covers the album essentials for each release. I feel like so much more could have been done with the liner or supporting materials alone, again just exactly as I felt with the economy Springsteen box from Sony. Not that this is exactly a bad thing given the overall economy minded pricing structure, but as a fan of both artists I could have stood to have a bit of extras, with an attempt to add some fancy box set fluff and frankly I would have been happy to pay for that effort. For those looking to expand a collection or maybe better start one, this set will do nicely and is a great overall price. You are getting 6 CD's plus a DVD for less than $6 per disk in a pretty sturdy set box fair to mention as well. For what it is worth the re-mastering if there was any, leaves this music sounding as great as you would expect from Roger Waters.

Very Good Box Set...but could be a little bit better,

Overall, this is a pretty good box set. It comes in a very sturdy box, and it includes his most worthwhile material. Yes, there is no "Music From The Body" or "The Wall in Berlin", or even the "Leaving Beirut/To Kill the Child" EP or the "Flickering Flame" compilation, so it's not complete in any respect.
I'm not sure if it has been remastered or not, although the "Pros and Cons" and "KAOS" discs do look different. And I agree with one of the other reviewers about hearing some things I didn't hear before, so there is a good possibility that these two discs were remastered. I'd give this box set 5 stars if it just had a couple more things. First, it has no lyrics whatsoever. Roger Waters is a great lyricist. His lyrics cover the box set, yet they didn't want to print them in the booklet? Why? I don't think a few more pages in the booklet to include lyrics would have been a lot of trouble. Next, the CD's are designed like mini-LP's, but don't include any inserts at all. Basically, it is just a disc inside a cardboard jacket. It seems as though it will get scratched very easily. Check out "Oh By The Way" for a good example of how to do "mini LP's" properly.

The Pros and Cons, Radio KAOS, and Amused remasters sound great. Clapton's guitar on Pros and Cons still brings tears to my ears. I didn't own it before this set, but the double In the Flesh (and DVD of same) is a great live show in it's own right, but there's only one new song there. Too bad Roger only released 3 rock albums of original material in his solo career. The recent Wall tour was awesome, but get back to work on new material, Rog! I didn't own the original of the opera discs, probably won't listen to these remasters of it any time soon either, hence only 4 of 5 stars.
