4.0 out of 5 stars Great music video, but doesn't lead the viewer to the album., April 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Roger Waters - What God Wants (Part 1) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The album from which "What God Wants" is taken from, Aumused to Death, is a very fantastic, ambitious disk. I thought that the video did very little to lead the viewer/listener to the album. However, as an "accessory" to the album, it's perfect. A short interview with Waters comes in the middle of the tape and fans of R. Waters will recognise the voice of the interviewer as that of Jim, the D.J. in Radio K*A*O*S. The interview is the most interesting part of the video because it is then that Waters explains the meaning of "What God Wants" (for those who don't get it). He also carries on about how he hates television and why. It is a good video and certainly worth having if you're big on Roger Waters and his work.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ultra-short video single??, November 19, 2005
This review is from: Roger Waters - What God Wants (Part 1) [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Although this is a very brief 15 minute video, it has one performance video featuring "special guest" guitarist Jeff Beck.

It also includes a studio interview with Rog's favorite (or favourite) DJ, Jim Ladd, who asked what seemed to be choreographed questions regarding what Mr. Waters is interested in at that time.

This is in contrast to an actual interview with Roger that I heard on the radio with a real DJ circa 1984, who focused mainly about what caused the breakup of Pink Floyd. The DJ's questions were met with either LOOONG stony silence, or VERY brief angry answers. I could "feel" the DJ sweat during the entire interview. I was waiting for Mr. Waters to "hang up"
on the DJ!! (he keeps hanging up, and there's a man answering)

This video has it all, interviews, claymations and it even has an in-the-studio performance of the song "What God Wants". END
